My understanding was they bought shares from others but that they also provided loans to the club. We will never know as the whole financial structure of the club is concealed with the use of tax efficient or some might say tax avoiding structures. To be honest no one will ever know but if the amounts invested are true then they have to be investments plus shares otherwise the club strikes me as imassively over valued.

As has already been pointed out on other threads, the accounts have been discussed to death. Suffice to say that, when the club was purchased in 2010, each of the owners had a 25% share. As Delaware companies do not have to reveal their owners the exact ownership of the club is unknown but Steve Parish has confirmed that Harris and Blitzer had an 18% share each to match his own. That’s great, and I know all of that, but what about: The £100 million? How the Americans gained their shares? What was the price? Where did the money go? It’s all very well saying 2010 owner this % individually then but this now. What about the money, the agreements and arrangements that make the club tick and progress?

Should the worst happen and Palace go into Admin again what will all the Parish lovers, not that there are that many I don't think, say to defend him? Would make him no different to Simon Jordan would it.

I see this as a bit of housekeeping. There is no point in paying staff that are never going to contribute to the business. Cut the fat. It might be enough to cover a loan signing's wages or at least end unnecessary spending

Agree - recent figures show that for every £1.00 earned, 74p is in the wage bill. This is the highest wage to income ration in the league and can not be sustained. I think we need 1-2 years of free transfer/loans get bank some money and invest again. Perhaps sell one or two players. Similar to landing on Mayfare in monopoly. Lost a bit of money, but just go around the board a few times. It’s boring yes, but bank the ‘pass go money’ and then we can start buying properties again. It’s the long game strategy and a gamble.

The clear out has to be a good thing, it's simply good housekeeping.

Just out of interest and just supposing we were in debt for the club to go into administration . Do you not think the players would be the first to rebell, some player would refuse to play. On the other hand would a performance like the Liverpool game surggest, that all is not well behind the scene. Has there been any talk about players and staffs members wages not be paid and being made redundant. The only story I am hearing is about the signing of Perri the Brazilian goalkeeper.

Woah! No one is talking administration. Folks are just debating where the money has gone!

The Sun (yup, that one) listed the 20 twenty highest wage bills in Europe a couple days ago. Sitting 17th, was Palace. They claim the bill to be £117m not far behind the likes of Spurs and Roma. I guess this is where the money has gone and why thinning out the squad is essential.

Parish > Jordan.
