Are they all fundamentally lazy? Is that the only reason that they are not in the same situation as we are? Baaaaad idea mate. Youve got her started now.E

Stu - open your eyes, they dont live in tents, and are no less civilised than us. the oinly reason that the UK is more developed than the vast majority of the rest of the world is that we exploited all the other countries of raw materials and human labour during colonisation for our own benefit, and left them with nothing in the 1960s to just get on with it. if anything it is the west who asre the biggest terrorists of all, throughout history Britain killed whole villages of people, displaced thousands, sent millions half way round the world to work on plantations just so we could have a cup of tea in the mornings! the British have raped, pillaged and murdered their way to get this 'great' empire of ours. People are not lazy, they have lacked opportunities that we in the UK have exploited, had a lot of internal conflict due to the fake boundaries that the Europeans set up in colonial times and have had our religion forced upon them, all for your and my benefit.

Quote Jonsey at 13 May 2004 11:19pm
The Iraqi s***e torture and execute P.O.W's and it makes me sick that we do nothing i say they torture our troops even if they beg them to stop they proabably carry on so i say TORTURE THERE IRAQI c***S make them suffer f*** em. REMEMBER THIS IS WAR AND IN WAR............ THERE ARE NO RULES Sorry to piss on your little parade, Jonesey, but you have got it so wrong there. The reason why all these revenge attacks are now happening is because there ARE rules to war, they are covered under the Geneva Convention. This international law proscribes the abuse, mental or physical, of prisoners of war, which unfortunately is exactly what the US Army is guilty of. The problem is that non-conformance to the Geneva Convention by US troops gives the amoral Arabs involved in the execution of Mr Berg precisely the sort of excuse they require to 'avenge' the abuse of their own compatriots. The answer in this worsening situation is for the coalition to adopt the moral high ground. If no excuse for revenge and violence is given to the Arab terrorists, their support in Iraq (which is already dwindling and only upheld by fear) will wane. When will Bush, Blair and co realise that perpetuating the violence in the Middle East will only make the situation worse?
Goodness is what you do. Not who you pray to. |

Quote redacted THE WAR IS OVER! SUICIDE BOMBINGS was not a tactic used by partisan groups, especially against their own people! The aim of the war in Iraq was liberation from Saddam and power is supposed to be passed back to the Iraqis in a couple of weeks!Much of the problems such as famine in Africa are the result of corrupt evil regimes FAR WORSE THAN Saddam! You just said that "the UK truely went into Iraq not for oil but to remove to Saddam and set up a democracy" so, essentially to remove a dictatorship. The problems in Africa are a result of even worse regimes you say? So why aren't we at war there too? Because that was not the real reason for war.

Quote redacted They've hardly touched their oil reserves!!! Jesus Christ man, when they run out of oil, we'll all be living in tents, do you not realise how dependent we are on it?!?!Your picking and choosing a great deal. We enslaved entire indigenous people before we made it illegal.
