Having met JRM on more than one occasion these are not traits that I discovered in him at all.He is a man devoted to his family and not someone haloed by self-righteousness.He is a savant,a man of erudition and someone who is always polite and exudes charm.I found him the very quintessence of respectability. At the end of the day people are fed up of incompetent self serving politicians who have embarrassed the country and put our future at risk with debacle over Brexit. Rees mogg is emblamatic of the kind of elite and out of touch establishment politician that has brought our country into decline and poverty. We need politicians who live in the real world and serve the interests of ordinary people

Apropos JRM you see him differently than I do having met the erudite gentleman on more than one occasion. He is certainly not out-of touch as his persona might indicate, having worked in the business world.Privately he is a very engaging individual, a warm family man and someone who can talk with authority on an array of matters. We will have to agree to disagree on JRM,a man of erudition who has my respect.

Yes, I see people that set up hedge funds using their family's and their wife's family's fortunes absolutely as men of the people. Hedge fund managers are possibly the most down to earth people apart from fishmongers. And they absolutely don't bet on other people's misfortunes. Oh, and let's hope none of his children turns out to be gay. Edited by Mapletree (13 Dec 2018 12.37pm)

I view JRM as a mensch with an aura of grandiloquence and if you had the good fortune to be in his company you might conclude that decency oozes from every pore. I have made my views on JRM patently clear, perhaps it is time to return to the subject matter of this thread,Theresa May.

I view JRM as an august luminary who always acts with civility and dignity.Indeed he is a 'High on the hog' type of chap but he is certainly not a sultan of pomp.

Give me Jacob Rees-Mogg over that bunch of Labour tossers any day

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
