Do you seriously believe that the press should only post positive stories about Black people just in case some pissed up morons decided to abuse them on a Saturday? If this had been a White player we would have heard none of this outrage. I personally despise anyone who acts like a scumbag in public. It's particularly sad when they are middle aged. These people should be banned from football for sure but please don't drag out the race card once again before any racism has even been established. It just stinks of what it is. An agenda determined to find racism everywhere to justify itself. I actually took the time to type out a long response to this and the bloody page timed out on the train when I posted it. Sake. The crux of it was is that you’ve still missed the point Raheem was making. How do you explain the difference in the tone of reporting in the Mail about the two different stories that he highlighted? Tone and language in the media matters. This seeps into the public’s psyche and shapes opinions. Them having a mirror held up to them about this is required and this wider debate it’s created was long needed.

You’re free to use whatever words you want, it just totally devalues any point you were trying to make by using them.

Some of the replies to this are ridiculous. There's a video of him calling Sterling a black c*nt and people are trying to defend that. Or adding caveats to it. It's not a left-wing/right-wing issue, I don't know why everything has to be. The media treatment is borderline and some of the articles by the Daily Mail are disgraceful.

Can you offer an explanation for the difference in language used when reporting on Sterling, compared to Harry Kane for example?

The reason nationalists exist in larger numbers is because far left politics has become mainstream and now more people like me realise what is happening.....That's how it works. Every action has its opposite reaction. Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Dec 2018 8.47am)

Them having a mirror held up to them about this is required and this wider debate it’s created was long needed. I'm sure your original post was great. I don't read tabloids but they are usually tripe. If Stirling gets worse treatment than say Kane it is almost certainly about public perception and the desire of newspapers to cater to public tastes. Stirling is perceived in a certain way fairly or unfairly and that is just the way it is. Here's the thing. SKY have been banging on about this 3 days now and before there was even confirmation that any racism had taken place on the touchline, they were already launching into a full liberal meltdown about racism with all the usual suspects saying that it was like the bad old days again etc. I'm sure poor Raheem can console himself by buying another car or something but in the end, a handful of boozed up failures have shouted abuse at a football match. That is not worth a week of coverage on TV in the wider context of what is going on in the world.

It's no real surprise that one tone members like hrolf who permanently have a colour chart in one hand and those with an interest or hierarchy in racial genetic differences don't really think someone being called a black c*nt matters a great deal. It's clear from the clip that this is what he said and he was right to be banned from for life. This idea that racial abuse is somehow no different from calling someone a tosser is of course more mud minded tosh.

This idea that racial abuse is somehow no different from calling someone a tosser is of course more mud minded tosh. Ok, you will now be the second person I ask to explain why there is a hierarchy in abuse. Why is it more important to be concerned with racial abuse over say abuse of someone considered to be ugly for example? That happens in newspapers all the time....value judgements happen all the time and are part of life. Why should I consider this form more important than another? I also consider the idea that Sterling has been abused in newspapers....that some here are alleging to be unproven and an incredibly unfair standard to place on journalists.....leading them to question if they should ever criticise someone because their skin colour is different to theirs. Yes I have an interest in racial genetic differences because this information was denied and lied about during my education.....I was lied to by social constructionists, whose opinions were probably formed by being lied to themselves....and that type of person continues to hold sway in power today. However, knowledge can actually help people, not hurt them. What matters is how knowledge is used.....and as the 'blank slate' informs us...social constructionists have been damaging society on false premises for centuries.
