Im afraid I don't know if it was Brentmaster who was vehiemently opposed to Hennessey but of course there were many who were very critical of his performances.

Hennessey has shown great character in turning around his fortunes given the antipathy towards him and credit where credit is due.He will of course suffer a dip in form at some stage but this should not detract from the fact that his performances have improved greatly from the days when he was subjected to a torrent of criticism.

I think he's on another forum but not in his Hol monicker. There was a short thread on Wayne and only one poster was anti and said he was pants and wanted him out of the club. No proof it was BG but he was always aying he wanted Wayne out of the club.

What a disappointment. I think when you've made that call, you've got to stick with it even if he turns into the next Gordon Banks or, in Wayno's case, Neville Southall.

I have to say that this does suggest Dean Kiely might have a future as a goalkeeping coach. I know there's this theory that competition with Guaita has helped, but I find it hard to believe Hennessey hasn't been doing his best all along. So the big change would be Kiely.
