Totally agree with you. We are paying good money watching a lot of overpaid players under perform.

Who knows what would have happened had he reacted earlier or even been proactive. But doing nothing? He's starting to lose supporters because of it. If I were Parish I'd have my eyes on Benitez.

I have just spoken to a Fulham supporter of many years who watched our game against Everton. He recognised our tactics as the same as those employed by Hodgson at Fulham with the shape, organisation, spaces between the back four and midfield etc etc. He confirmed that even at Fulham, Hodgson was a manager who stuck with his starting eleven as much as possible, depending of course on the circumstances in the game.

Good managers like Roy set their teams up very well and live or die on that .The great ones also set their teams up very well but adapt change and respond during the course of the game . Roy though a good manager is not a great one

I don't think you'll see Benitez take another job from a chairman who backs his managers only when there's a massive emergency, and then hopes they'll get by with what they've got when things look okay.

This would suggest he's open to changing things based on how a game is going...which he clearly isnt

Is that the same Benitez that sold Gayle and Mitrovic, they now can’t score a goal as well. He plays strikers with a maximum height of 5ft7in and plays from the wing to cross into the box.

Every manager makes “mistakes” of this kind. The question is whether - if Roy can’t turn this around - would you turn down Benitez?

Benitez isn’t the answer. Look how bad Toon have been this season. You think Roy is negative? Watch how unambitious Rafa is when trying to win games. Roy needs to turn it around or he needs to retire. The lack of subs is inexcusable now. It’s cost us too many points. We looked tired and leggy, yes the bench isn’t good enough, but we were under the kosh and it was painfully obvious.

Hodgson has now switched firmly into Hodgson mode, which is to defend a 0-0. Don't get men forward, you don't score, easy as that.

Couple of weeks and some will be putting Colin W up for manager given his team scored more than 50% of our seasons total last Saturday !!!!!

Thing I dont get though is that if he WAS trying to defend the 0-0 why didnt he throw on Kelly? especially as Tomkins had had a whack to the head and was dazed. Surely if you are settling for a 0-0 it would be better to put some fresh legs into defence/midfield? Thats what I dont get...was he defending the 0-0 or still trying to hit on the break?
