What I want to know is....did Steely buy them a cab ride home afterwards.

It really is quite as simple as 'don't be a creepy, letchy, touchy f*ck'. It's really not that difficult.

It is for me those are my reasons to live.

Taking it too seriously D, this is really utterly ridiculous surely.

It's all a bit convenient i'd say. What surprises me is that anyone is so willing to wholeheartedly believe either of them.

As a side note has anyone else ever described a gathering of 4 people as "a party"?

I agree. But if someone has been genuinely assaulted but has a case of mistaken identity over three decades later, then what do you do?

Then there have been many cases of women who made up allegations and nothing has happened to them. The DJ Dr Fox is one example, his ex-wife was telling me about the trial when I met her last year.

And you'd have to include their, soon to be unemployed, MEPs to even get to that number.

Presumably that is also how you feel about the Harvey Weinstein accusers.

These silly women who 'remember' things so long after the event. It's almost as though they don't speak up due to fear until they are either pushed into having to speak up or feel that at last they may be believed. When you have no power you don't stick your head above the parapet. Instead you try to forget things ever happened that you find difficult to confront.

So what's more scary bringing it up soon after the event or in front of the whole world!!
In any event they were 15. Kids mess about, who knows the real atmosphere of the situation, 15, seriously!! He might have only just turned 15, these are juvenile kids pissing about and she wants to bring it up after 36 years, she's bonkers.

I would say handling it at 15 is the more scary having seen what my children can and can't cope with.

It doesn't appear this was 'kids messing about'. She was a very scared little girl being abused by a much older boy. Trying to scream but having her mouth covered to the extent she feared for her life.

Seriously.

I have not commented on the politics of this and feel I should

It is simply dreadful

I don't like that the judiciary is politicised. The way the civil service and judiciary are independent in the UK is something that in my opinion makes our society strong.

I also hate the balkanisation. This is a relatively recent thing in terms of the extent. It is also happening in the UK. It results in forcing people to take stances with which they are almost certainly uncomfortable as a defense mechanism. It appears to me that the President has encouraged this balkanisation for his own political ends, to the detriment of truth, fairness and ethics.

I would prefer to see Party lines being moderated by personal morality far more. I would also prefer that people look to build upon one another's ideas rather than constantly shoot them down.

I believe that Ms Ford is genuine. But there is also no doubt this is an issue that is being used to try to prevent someone seen as politically unpalatable getting into high office.

Are you speaking for all women there?

Or are you speaking out of your probable sexual organ?
