comedy ?

the BBC have a kids programme about a small fishing community on an island of Scotland. Balamory.

follow the link and you tell me if its authentic ? i mean, the weather is always good and the accents are interesting, and the place is full of kids ? does this resemble actual scottish island communities ?

lets avoid discussions of ethnicity, cos otherwise the resident lefties on here will have their collective heads explode.

are the balamory accents authentic ?

[Link]

and before i get accused of prejudice, imagine the BBC doing a programme about the Notting Hill Carnival and having a 'Century Steel Band' tribute with a line-up of Hamish McTavish, Duncan McDonald, Billy Connolly, Sean Connery and Rab C Nesbit ?

That bloke Dave who works behind the scenes...what a muppet.

Just ask Collier Row Eagle....he knows him well.

I do like that Alex Jones though. Definitely ‘would’.

WTAF!

You watch that? And you critique it?

FYI, it isn't really pitched at your demographic.

Also, I am sorry to tell you that over the hill and far away doesn't actually exist and the clangers have all died from lack of oxygen.

cheap 5h1t BBC TV:

Live sports
Sports highlights (repeats)
News headlines, with feed from other countries (which is cheaper)
repeats channels (highlighting how good the BBC used to be)
Reality TV.
Wildlife programmes
Highlights of reality TV
CBBC

Final salary pension,...WTF ! really ?

There is a whole load of stuff coming the BBC's way. (and when I say BBC, I in no way reference the better-value-for-money adult films with actors of varying race)

Anyone employed by the BBC should consider getting the fk out, before the inquest begins

Try a credible source. Perhaps the BBC, or the multitude of Welsh ones that also state it is.

Watching the link to 'Balamory' you can see how the BBC using children's programmes to spread its 'diversity' idealogy.

It's amusing really.....it's typical that areas that would be like 'balamory' would actually have very little actual 'diversity' within them.

We all know what the BBC are doing.

Why does Balamory have to resemble an "actual Scottish island community" FFS? It's a children's programme. You might as well slate Play School because nobody's house has three windows in a row all of different shapes, or Bagpuss because the shop couldn't possibly be commercially viable, or Postman Pat for violations of the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2007, etc. etc. And don't get me started on The Clangers.
