I have read that a lot of peoole want or like a no commitment job. Its minimum wage now, times how many hours you want to put in, basically finished as who wants to work every hour just to take home a weekly wage, there are people who the zero hour thing works well for granted, but its been pushed into the job market for people who want a normal job but only getting offered these kind of zero hour jobs, its ok if youre qualified at a profession, but if youre not you are getting more and more dross zero hour gig shyte offered these days

Maybe penge, but what kind of jobs? zero hour crap, uber, not jobs with any meat on the bones! Its a race to the bottom im afraid, a race to the bottom! Leftists think those who do 'zero hour' jobs and drive for Uber do it because they have a gun to their heads. They don't and both can work very well for people. By the way, if you're not happy with the minimum wage, then what should it be? Be careful what you wish for. You do realise that the more the government forces companies to put up their wages, the more they go towards replacing people with machines.

Did You know for the past 15 years, 4000 bankers in the city have taken home 1 million pound bonus or above at christmas? After the first year when they no doubt blew it on fast cars and boats, 12 months later it came again, so they just bought 4 flats for 250 grand each off plan, thats 16 thousand flats gone every christmas to bankers, times that by 15 years, you know why theirs no flats available for nurses to buy in central london or suburbs!

I cant work out what you are anti in this post. But as recent history shows us it clearly isn't that way. Look at the rail company bosses. They have been running unprofitable, shocking services subsidised by the tax payer, and still taking home bonuses! Without market legislation they will do what they want. What Labour are talking about is balancing the justice from top to bottom of our society. If, after 2008, we all have to tighten our belts, it shouldn't just be workers experiencing wage decreases of near 10% while billionaires increase their share of national wealth. If automation makes for efficiencies and savings in the job market, we should all feel the benefits. I was, until recently, on essentially a zero hour contract teaching role btw. How would you like your kid's teacher to not know whether they are working from day to day?

I don't like the idea of zero hours contracts or limited hours because employers use it to bully staff. At the supermarket I worked at no one was offered a 35 hour week. Your standard hours were 20-23 hours per week. The managers then used the promise of additional hours to "motivate" the staff. My friend started at 6am and worked until lunchtime she would often to asked to return that evening say 6-9pm. She needed the money if she didn't take those hours it was made clear she wouldn't be offered the better 2/3 hours at the end of her current shift which was quite often. The problem with Labour banning zero hours though is that a lot of people like ad hoc working as it fits that lifestyle. So how do you square that circle?

Look at all our MP's (all parties) they have totally s*** at running the country, but still took home 11% pay rises!

This is a broad statement, but, anyone who blames the Tories or Labour have not had the realisation yet that any party coming in; 1) has their hands tied due to globalisation. 2) Are mainly incompetent. In effect, we are really voting for the best of the worst rather than the best of the best.
