Maybe a fear of stirring up more trouble than there already is. After all wider society of whatever race or religion is unlikely to be violent or to carry out attacks. However, small sparks can sometimes stir up far wider events in strange, unforseen ways.
As for Gypsies, there are always traveller feuds in Ireland and deaths, burnings, violence, shootings at kids etc. Usually barely reported now as travellers are now seen as another of these minorities we were all unfair to and can, of course, do no wrong.
John Connors tells me it my fault all the time, a bit like Pavee Point. Society's fault that these things happen - not the perpetrators - apparently.
Look up the 'Battle of the Rahoon Flats' I believe there is footage of it. That is where I live. Should get a laugh out of it - although pretty serious really.

Shouldn't the media try to tell the truth about what's going on in society?

Not hiding it because 'agendas'.

It doesn't work anyway and only increases the mistrust.

But we know that the media is partly a means of control by those that own it.

Quite obviously, these values are already imported into the UK. Look up how many honour killings and female genital mutilations there are each year. There is no hiding it. How to get rid is a bigger problem. My idea would be mass deportations of people who already have had applications turned down and appeals rejected for a start. Also put a limit on appeals. There are so many disingenuous asylum seekers that are playing the system that deserving people, who need our help, are left floundering in the system at the mercy of gangs or radicals.

As I have said, something is not adding up and having seen the names of the other men charged in this case, but not the father, it still seems all rather odd.

Everyone was appalled by this before we knew anything about the identities of those involved but if it turns out that this was the act of someone in revenge for a Muslim woman uncovering her face then we have every reason to be even more outraged
