According to Roy we have 26 players so we need to loan out 2 players.

Has Ryan Inniss gone to Dundee then ? I know Roy was reluctant to name the team he was going to but told the reporters anyway

Yep he's gone to Dundee. Doesn't look like anyone else from the '25' has gone though, so doesn't look like Sako will come back.

Somewhat amusing that Sako and his agent have had a change of heart over the deal that was offered to him. Nothing to do with the fact that no-one else has come in for him, he wanted too much money... oh and he has just come off a serious injury. Not sure I want him at Palace really, he's a bit too mercenary for me.

Heard from a relatively reliable source that this was all down to his agent. Sako was happy. He was also happy with terms offered. Agent persuaded him he could get more with teams in France and Wolves making noises. Palace kept offer on table the whole time he was injured, underlying Roy's faith in him. Agent kept advising not to sign. If I was Bakary I'd be getting rid of my agent immediately. It's a great shame how it worked out. A case of the player needing us more than we needed him quite frankly.

The sad part is that when healthy, Sako is better than any of our current forwards not named Zaha. I'd be happy to have him back immediately, and he can replace Benteke, Townsend, Ayew, and/or Sorloth as far as I'm concerned.

I wonder what our ‘25’ would be if he HAD signed the new contract. Who would we have unloaded? Puncheon? Would there have been any takers? Or would we have not gone for Ayew/an alternative striker?
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

We will never know. Possibly Puncheon, Kaikai, or Wickham gone out on loan, Possibly no Ayew
