The only reason people have been deceived into thinking they're any good is because the draw happened to fall so that that didn't happen until the semi-final. Even so they were a penalty kick away from losing in the second round as usual, after a performance which should have told anyone who saw it what was going to happen in tonight's game.

Chris Waddle went on about how England needed "a creative player", one who could change a game, pull something out of the fire and do something about it when things were going Pete Tong. I think Ivory Coast have such a player.

England meanwhile had two shots on target, have created practically f*** all from open play in the whole tournament, and kept picking Lingard, Sterling and Dele Alli long after they'd all shown that they couldn't hit a cow's arse with a f***ing banjo. Why were our lads so knackered, yet their guys were still able to muster the energy to see things through ?

Croatia played 2 prior games both went to extra time and penalties.
7 of the Croatian players played all 5 games prior.

Vida and Modric looked like they could go another 120.

Will a winter break really help ? or is it all just BS ?

Definately dangerous play, Walker comes into to head the ball a little above waist height, and the Croat sticks his foot stud first just above Kyles ear to stick it home.
However, Kane should have had 2, Maguire had a header cleared off the line.

Could well have been out of sight my half time, but we were not and we ran out of steam, or were not able to match their intensity.
