No he hasn't. Perhaps he isn't quite the attention seeker that some thought? I expect he'll be back sooner or later.

Delaney and Lee may not have played very much but we do need a squad of players and not just a first eleven and our lack of cover last season for strikers and keepers could have cost us dearly but fortunately Lady Luck shone on us.

It's all well and good saying that we should get a couple of loan players but don't forget that our recent record in the loan market hasn't been particularly good and last season's loanees were the exception rather than the rule

understand what your saying but at the end of the day loan players for clubs are hit or miss, and you said keepers and strikers that was the area of concern not midfield or defence,
so why the worry now,we will be ok couple of surprise signing you never know,
we may already have a diamond in the rough in the club, lets wait before we start worrying, sure Leicester was the same before they won the league, and not saying we are going to win the league.... yet

When he’s in need of some attention.

Please let's not turn this in yet another Willo thread which is the departure of Cabaye (has been class but perfect timing I personally think, his legs have gone) otherwise I will, have to ask a mod to interfere!!

You want to be interfered with by a mod?

Indeed. In fact in Holland they play centre backs as defensive midfielders when they are young to get them comfortable on the ball.

During his tenure and after many Dutch football experts said Jairo was a very good defensive midfielder and was his best position.

Pape Souare played a lot as a DM before signing for us.

I am very sorry to see Yo move on from Palace. His signing 3 years ago represented a big step forward for Palace as our first "marquee" signing in the Prem with a big transfer fee and wages. And, in my opinion, he's been excellent value for money as his stats over 3 seasons consistently proved.

His are very big boots to be filled and his influence in midfield will be difficult to replace. Our midfield next season could look very different if we don't manage to retain Rubén Loftus-Cheek for at least another season and there is any substance in the continuing rumours linking Andros Townsend with a move to Newcastle. I'm hoping that Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman are "men with a plan"!

There seems to have been some criticism of Yo for choosing The UAE over another couple of years in the Prem. Let's be honest, how many of us faced with the choice of the increasing physicality of the Prem and facing the likes of Huddersfield on a cold wet windy Saturday afternoon wouldn't have been tempted by two years in Dubai?

So from me it's good luck for the future, Yo, and thanks for three quality years at Palace that were crucial to keeping us in the Prem.

Football is all about opinions but for me I was expecting more. Where was the creativity? Couldn't last 90 minutes and his cup final performance was woeful, after being hyped up by Pardew. I thought Palace was his last big payday!!!
