So now Newcastle are not only after Townsend but are in talks with WBA about signing Rondon.

Meanwhile,we have signed Guaita, deal agreed last Window ,the 14 year old and some would say, foolishly let Cabaye go without signing any high profile replacement.
Very sorry to see him go,as out and out quality and will blow our limited transfer budget to replace like for like.
Running a Premiership Club Steve, you are not running a firm of Accountants with a brief to cut wages down to a minimum.
Living in hope that Roy is leading negotiations as to one or two signings and not having players he does not particularly want, forced on him as per the last Window by Parish and his yes men.

OH f*** OFF YOU SAD c***.

Not Really we had 3 specialist Left Backs - Souaré.van Aanholt and Schlupp plus at least 3 others who could play there Kelly. Ward and Fosu Mensa

It's the only position we have too much cover at, one of them needs to go to free up wages.

And how many other clubs are not talking about or doing business. We still have 5 weeks to start of season and we never do early business. Trust in Roy.

In fairness, the window has only just opened 5 days ago. We are probably eyeing up a few world cup players which will slow things down as they'll be off on their holidays or still playing.

My comment was in response to suggestions defiinng what a "specialist" position might be, not about whether we needed to sign one.
