He would show more commitment in the warmup than some showed in the game. When we needed to scrap he was always leading the charge throwing his body on the line and as others have said is a big reason we're still where we are. It would be great to see Cork have a fairy tale run in the CL as a way for him to finish his career.

He's very much part of the here and now. Still, I know what you mean, Folk lore hero If we are going to confer 'legendary' status on someone, shouldn't there be an official ceremony where he gets to put a sword out of a stone? Absolutely right in every respect. ‘Legend’ lazy use of language, Mind you I like the dismissive ‘leg end’! Good luck Dammo and a massive thanks for all!

Can only echo what others have said. Great servant - not blessed with huge talent but was great for us over a long (and successful) period by constantly giving his all. One of those guys that will always be welcome back at Selhurst Park.

His bossing of Diego Costa surely goes down as one of the finest individual displays in recent years. Damo was a key ingredient in our promotion too. Perhaps played one year too many in the end for us, but blame that on our recruitment policy, not him! Good luck in the future Damo. Warrior.
