Maupay just scored again. Reckon he will be in the Prem by the end of Jan. Scored again yesterday. Clearly still in form. Equal top scorer in the league with a good 6 assists to boot, a lot more than any striker on a similar level. Brentford are out of challenging for a top spot so maybe more inclined to sell than others. Let's get hold of him. Edited by Booted Eagle (23 Dec 2018 7.31pm)

Brentford are now struggling under their new manager and think Maupay is a serious option.

He took over with Brentford in 7th place and they have lost 7 of their 9 games under him.He was previously one of the Assistant Head Coaches under Dean Smith.I wouldn't be surprised if he is relieved of his duties.

Now Zaha is injured I would say there will be 11 good championship players facing Leicester on Saturday with a sprinkling of Div 1 players on the bench, plus Sorloth who would be decent in the Isthmian league.

I'd say there are about 4-5 players who could come to a PL club like Palace and improve it. Like people have said, Neal Maupay, but he's short, more like a second striker. Or a false 9 if you want to play like that. Highly sought too. Tammy Abraham and Che Adams are 2 powerful and fast cener forwards for the future. They're doing great right now, but could have variations in form. A 21-22 years old it's normal. While Abraham would cost more than 15 million, Che Adams is a hidden gem and is, for me, a similar quality, maybe even better. Dwight Gayle and Teemu Pukki have great numbers, but are not that young and pacy anymore at 28 and Gayle wouldn't want to come back here anyway, as he wasn't given many chances. From the attacking midfielders, there would be some ready for the PL at Nottingham or West Brom (Matt Phillips, Harvey Barnes, maybe the Scot Oliver Burke), Ollie Watkins from Brentford, but all very expensive. 2 underrated gems are Emiliano Buendia from Norwich and Said Benrahma from Brentford. Harry Wilson from Derby would also be PL ready, but I don't know how much Liverpool is willing to let him go (he's on loan). Same for Mason Mount of Chelsea, recently called up to the national team at just 19. Jarrod Bowen, Kemar Roofe, Tom Lawrence and Callum Robinson are on the rise, but not yet PL material. Jack Grealish is in no way worth the 50 millions they were asking Totenham. They must be crazy. And Tottenham is very stupid if they will pay. Alioski is pretty constant for Leeds, but he's a poor version of Gareth Bale, strong and fast, left back converted to winger/striker.

Been impressed with Eze at QPR when I have seen him then there is the Polish winger at Hull whose name I forget. Think this is the way for Palace to go as these players from lower divisions have the hunger and desire to do well and these kind of signings have worked well in the past
