Mmmm... check your posts before posting them.

Mrs Lawrence appears a very impressive lady who has managed to make a difference. Her son also appears to have been a decent young man who was attacked only because of his race. At the time the Police appeared not to care because of their biases and assumptions.

What do you know about the matters that makes you a better Judge than the Queen on who gets an OBE or to be a Baroness?

I stand behind everything I've said about the women. She is truly awful. The fact that you approve of her only confirms my judgement on the matter.

The damage that she and her ideological bedfellows have inflicted upon the Police service has been considerable and its affect has contributed to much harm.

As an aside it's quite amusing to learn that you believe the Queen actually decides who receives honours.

More so when I'd already posted who did it, within this thread.

Optimistic as ever

Sure. Even more Black people ae being murdered...by other Black people.
Still, it's not as bad as being murdered by 'racists' is it.
Those 70 odd people murdered this year don't matter but the man who's murder probably allowed dozens to get away with carrying all sorts of weapons needs to have a national holiday named after him.

Politicians, hang your heads.

Tory politicians not Labour.

We had law and order under Tony Blair.

We had good public services, police on the streets (down by 20%) a policy of 'tough on crime and it's causes'.

Labour did a good job at least containing crime.

The only reason this is happening is because he was murdered by white youths. It was a tragedy and the Lawrence family have acted with dignity ever since that day.
But so many black kids have been murdered since. Are they not to be remembered and are they only a statistic for the press? Just because they were killed by other black youths does not diminish the loss to their families.
Just remembering one tragedy as a national day of remembrance is totally wrong. It is trying to make white folk feel guilty by the left by what happened that night. It will be used as a political football. We should recognise the dignity being shown by his family.

Many years ago (70's or early 80's), a white youth, who was disabled was chased by a group of black youths in Thornton Heath and was killed on his own doorstep with an axe. The black youths had previously attacked a pub in Thornton Heath High Street, known as a National Front haunt. The boy was a customer in my dad's shop, unfortunately I forget his name, I would know it if they had a memorial day for him every year...what is the difference? oh wait. Please dont call me a racist I most definately am not but am p**d off by the PC brigade.

Can you expand on that for me? I can't see how SL's murder 'allowed' dozens to subsequently carry weapons.

When the time comes, I want die just like my Dad - at peace and asleep.
Not screaming and terrified.

Implying that Blair was a better PM than May is like saying you’d rather die in a train crash than a car crash.
