Such a waste of a good mind. I don't know, taught quite a few, helped others and myself without screwing them. None of us are individually that important. If you improved on what you sprung from then you left the world a tiny bit better than you found it. There are plenty of people who can't say that....or are so wrapped up in themselves to not even care. Edited by Stirlingsays (11 Apr 2018 10.01pm)

Why is veganism not in the news? Eating meat is a cause of environmental problems - the number one cause of global warming, a major cause in many diseases as a growing number of doctors are now acknowledging, a cause of unnecessary suffering for billions of animals and even contributing to world hunger. And this isn't news? Its not the fault of veganism that this isnt news its the mainstream media and the fact that the things they want to highlight are dictated by big business and profits rather than the truth. Thankfully now though people dont need to rely on them for information and thats the reason why the vegan movement is growing so rapidly and why there are so many vegan products available in shops and restaurants. So yeah the news will focus on politics, wars and all the other things it has focused on for so many years without anything actually changing because people feel so powerless to do anything about it all. The real news is happening away from the mainstream media. As long as the information is available to people the rise in veganism will continue with or without them.

The main cause of global warming is the burning of fossil fuels. There's always been vegan food, and it has always been very popular. They are called vegetables. Saying farming causes environmental problems is a massive over simplification of the issue. Livestock is normally kept on land not suitable for arable farming. Vegans would realise this if they leave Brighton/Shoreditch and go to the countryside. Instead they just waste electricity pointlessly by boasting on social media and hunting down the next trend.

The UN has published a number of reports saying that a meat eating diet is unsustainable and the primary cause of environmental destruction. This article highlights the problems of eating meat.

I had to put down my big Mac to click that link. Then I saw that it was a Guardian article and I had to have two double cheeseburgers to recover from the shock of the copious amounts of progressive goo that I'd been exposed to.
