9-0 Vs Liverpool in 1989.
Half my school year supported Liverpool at that time and about 30% Palace.
It was humiliating but fortunately the Villa Park FA Cup Semi came later that season :-)
That season encapsulated being a Palace fan in a a nut shell.

Were you at the 0-9 though? If you were there we started cheering their passes and celebrating their goals. We even missed a penalty and had plenty of chances. Scousers gave us a couple of thousand extra tickets. Was a great day out. We were singing 'gonnna score in a minute, score in a minute's for nearly half an hour after the game had ended. One of our worst ever results but was a great laugh at the game. Liverpool dominated English football so much in those days it wasn't as surprising as the 4-3 at Villa Park later in the season. Which was the best game I've ever been to, probably only rivalled by Blackburn at Selhurst to overturn a 3-1 deficit in the playoffs. There were nightlong celebrations after that.

On a personal level, George Burley's last game managing us against Milwall at the Den around 2010.
Was sat in the home end as my Milwall mates got me a ticket.
Having to drink with one of our group who thought he was Danny Dyer and walked like John Wayne carrying two rolls of carpet under his arms.
The defeat was poor (3-0), but also have some fat Bermondsey Princess sitting behind me shouting in my ear for the duration of the game "Have it, you Palace c*nts!"
Then the train ride home,...

I disengage, I turn the page.

70s for me. One up home to Blackpool with minutes left. Only neex draw to stay up. Blackpool equalise. No worry minute left. We kick off lose posession Blackpool go forward and score. Kick off whistle blows. Relegated. Never got over it. When bad luck hits us it hits us with everything.

I've been supporting Palace since 1952 so there's a lot to choose from!

My most disappointing defeat was the 1976 FA Cup semi-final defeat at Stamford Bridge. Seeing Palace in the Cup Final at Wembley was my childhood dream and getting so close and realising it was likely to be many years before the chance came round again made for a sad and gloomy journey back home from the game.

Play off V Leicester despised them ever since! After the game I was heading to Aberdeen to see my kids & at Victoria coach station still had my colours on &
had to endure untold gloating by hundreds of gleeful Leicester fans!

Both fa cup finals especially as we were so close in both games

Too many to mention and I try to forget these games. But there is one game that really did for me and it wasn’t even a defeat, but it felt like one. Away to Leicester when they were at Filbert Street, we were leading 4-2 when George Wood dropped another bollock.

I shouted out at the top of my voice “ George you Kuuuuunt”

Oh and away to Arsenal last game of the season and relegation day. With Wrighty celebrating, I lost complete respect for him that day....
