The lad is class, simple as that. He will have his bad games as any other player, but he's miles ahead of Ward. A real gem and as some here has asked, how many more in our Academy? And why does it takes injuries to throw them in? Spurs & Man Utd - they don't come much worse than that for your 2 first PL-games. The reason we bought a full back in on loan this season (TFM) was to not hold up Wan-Bissaka’s development in the long term. Also we did not allow him out on loan this season as we knew we might need him for the first team. He’s definitely the ‘chosen one’ of our academy this year and it’s fair to say we don’t have other players at that level ready to play. Nya Kirby will hopefully get there medium term.

Best thing about AWB is he will keep Joel Ward exactly where he should be, riding the pine. Fine squad player and cover player but not good enough to start for the last 2 years. It was more through necessity than choice by RH but we may have just unearthed a little gem in this kid. Bloody fantastic to see an academy player get a shot and take it with both hands, against the best teams in this league. That lad must have balls of steel.

Took ten minutes to settle in the first of those matches and since then hasn't looked remotely out of place. Carried a threat with a few crosses as well so could help do some proper damage to the likes of Huddersfield, Bournemouth and weed. good dribbler, suspect he can pass dangerously but needs to work on crossing. with him and PVA, playing wing backs is almost feasible. not sure where Wilf fits in a team playing wing backs, mind.

At Chelsea he cut in in the second half and coul have shot but instead passed. Once his confidence and self belief grows and strengthen he will just get better and better. His running style reminds me of Ian wright.

He was absolutely brilliant today again. Made a few defensive mistakes but rode them out quite well.
