As one normally uses a crystal ball to look into the future and as my piece looks at the past . . . ps 40 years a fan so I have watched through Bloye, Noades, Goldberg, Jordan and now Parish. Bloye the worst as there was no success plus financial failure. Noades success but finances not great (sold the club but kept the ground). Gold berg was on a sticky wicket from the start. Jordan did ok except for Francis (who brought in AJ for nothing). Parish read the above.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Parish is responsible for signing players. In this regard he has failed miserably to address glaring issues in more recent transfer windows than I can be bothered to mention. I dont call for Parish out, maybe just off to the side a bit and let someone who actually knows remotely what they are doing run transfer and managers at this club. Dont all you Parish apologists get bored of constantly acting outraged when a fan of this club dares to suggest that someone else could do better than Steve's p#ss poor performance of late on transfers and managers? "Go and support someone else then". Its laughable. No one is allowed to want Parish gone lest they be asked to give up on their love, commitment and support of this fantastic and unique club which in many of us started on the day we were born. Edited by Maine Eagle (24 Feb 2018 10.29pm) One Manager error Frank rectified with Roy.

Top 6 clubs wouldn't be caught with zero fit strikers or 1 fit goalie, Alan. Therein lies the difference between Parish and chairmen/people running transfers at top 6 clubs, amongst other things: They dont let their teams go out and try to win points in the premier league with no strikers or 1 goalie. Edited by Maine Eagle (24 Feb 2018 10.34pm) Well ME if you think The Palace are on a level playing field with the Top 6 you are definitely following the wrong club.

Exactly so, Alan...we are a small club with limited resources and while we are in the Prem will always be in a relegation situation. Recognise this or go away and support Real Madrid, Man U or PSG. I have got used to it after more than 50 years.

You'll find that barely any clubs, especially in this league have 1 striker, and that's after starting the previous season with 1 left back and 7 in total able defenders, and going down a similar footballing route with the manager, all happening with people saying Parish learns from his mistakes. Remind us who is back up in goal tomorrow. Just listen to those like Freedman and Roy with experience, Steve.

Most understand this but if you analyse the seasons in question the start of seasons have put us in these situations, not because it's inevitable, yet, which may be coming imo if we survive this season. Each season we start off as a shambles and are in a position we shouldn't e in to begin with. 0-3 v Huddersfield and the rest. That shyte last season v West Brom and then v Bournemouth.

Rectified now. Is it? He showed promise but we should be signing players with promise or some bigger league experience with 38 games left and not 10 games. It was bl33ding stupid in the first place.

Rakip and Jach haven’t figured at all despite injuries and we still don’t have a third goalkeeper. Roy made a point about staying in touch until the window which has been poor. Can forgive summer 2017 because of the distraction of trying to undo the de Boer farce but not so sure about this January.
