Pity,I think he would have fitted in well with us.
Looks like another none-transfer window.

Touch my coffee and I will slap you so hard even Google won't be able to find you.

I don’t think they are competing with us. We would need to be trying to sign someone for them to be competing with us.

We seem to be taking the passive aggressive approach to transfers this season.

Did we ever want him?
Was it just paper talk?
If we did then there will be many reasons why we didn't get him - first and foremost - money!
Fulham are owned by one man - a multi billionaire - sadly we cannot compete so that's life!

Josh Harris and David Blitzer are both billionaires but it's Steve Parish that holds Palace back in terms of investment as he's reputedly only worth £45m which isn't great in terms of Premier League ownership terms

Yes - but they are not investing all of their wealth - just a small part of it.
Fulham's man can spend whatever her wants depending on how he feels when he wakes up in the morning and that's a big difference.
He wants to stay up whichever way he can and he will spend what it takes.
We should also remember the value of our own squad which is pretty high by comparison to the newcomers

on paper maybe it's worth a lot (Zaha notwithsanding).

Who would pay good money on Schlupp, Ward, Hennessey, Benteke?

he'll probably score against us

it's ok, we have soft-side-pass Schlupp, we don't need another winger/forward.

Signed for Fulham on a two year loan deal , why was it so difficult for parish & co to bring him in on a simlair deal or is he really into playing for Fulham that much ?

Gone to Fulham on loan while we continue to do nothing. Schurlle on loan would have given wider attacking options. How long will board handcuff Hodgson when he could really develop team. Frustrating for all Palace fans.

I read it was a loan deal.
If a loan deal, then only the loan fee is the upfront outlay. Don't think that would have been astronomical. So we must surely have been able to compete with Fulham. Given the loss of Cabaye's wages, can't see why we couldn't have met Schurrle's salary.
Lost opportunity.

Who knows what Fulham are paying. They probably blew our bid out of the water and they can afford to do that, no doubt, given their sugar daddy and FFP rules.

I would rather the club invest in players that it can develop if possible and I’m not sure a loan fee does that.
