Been a while.

Just wanted to say this afternoon we had P.E. After telling them to make sure they have been to the toilet, I had 2 girls and 2 boys ask to go as soon as we got on to the playing fields.

Those who say the should be allowed. How would you have handled that situation?

Simple answer let them go.

Let them go to the toilet. Missing a bit of a lesson won’t make a huge difference. And I’d wager that the ones taking the piss with it (pun intended) are the ones you don’t want in your class and won’t be missed while they are in the loo.

P.E. isn't a lesson.

All kids should be wanted and missed. Even the disruptive ones.
Usually, if they are disruptive it is because they can sense they're not important

Some kids are just pains in the arse.

Ultimately it’s the kids in the middle that don’t get treated fairly. Exceptionally good or bad kids get extra effort from staff. The average kid in the middle doesn’t get fair treatment and isn’t pushed to do his best because of class sizes and teachers being stretched.

It's called writing, Dan.

And it wasn't a lesson. Not once was I taught anything in P.E.

They try to teach you that taking part is all that matters, but that's just nonsense. Or they'd say the same in the other subjects.

I like to read out posts in different voices for different posters. That's not weird is it?

No, but dressing up as what you visualise them to be is going too far!
