Not unless Sanchez is having his leg amputated. Obviously Sanchez won't be signing for us. But when it comes to contracts Wilf is on a long contract and therefor his value is sky high and Sanchez contract is about to expire and therefore his value is lowered. Swap deal? Well City offered what £60m for him last summer when he had 12 months left. Would have to be worth at least half that now with only six months left. That's £35m the same as Arsenal think Wilf is worth. So yes Wilf is worth at least the same as Sanchez if not more. Why? Due to the new contract Wilf signed last summer.... about the only good bit of business we did get done.

The only thing is that I've just realised, is there may well be a minimum release clause in the contract. If Wilf really does want to eventually play at the top level, and good on him if he does, you'd think it would've been a no brainer for his agent to negotiate this at the time he renewed his contract, especially for clubs in Europe. So if we're stI'll struggling in jan and someone comes in with a silly offer??

Hopefully it is just relegation, if there's also a European club clause and they match it in January, we'll literally have no say in the matter. Edited by Mstrobez (16 Nov 2017 10.40am)

I think it’s quite simple, if we go down he will go it will be up to the board to maximise the amount. I’d start the bidding £60m and see how high we can get it.
