Ulloa started 7 games and made 22 sub appearances in the league and Okazaki started 28 and made 8 sub appearances.

And Ulloa only scored one less goal than Okazaki.

Thank you, gentlemen; definitely warming to the idea of this one a bit more now.

I've always thought he's decent.

But if is a loan deal then who we sending back? Injured RLC?

Just a question: why Ulloa and not Niasse?

Everton are not willing to sell Niasse, as confirmed by SA.

I know not reliable but his Wiki page saying he has joined WBA on 6 months loan. If correct is a good signing for them.

Niasse was on the pitch for about 2 minutes before equalising from 3 yards out v West Brom. That was following the boos during him coming on for Cenk Tosun on his debut. We missed both. Our timing is sh1t.

Despite his record with them many Brighton fans I worked with were not that unhappy to see him leave. Judging from a quick browse on Leicester's forum they seem to have a similar view.

He is a striker and he has experience, but I hope this is a backup option if other deals fall through rather than our main target. If RLC went back to Chelsea due to injury then a loan for Ulloa would seem an ok option.

If we can't get, or afford, or avoid being ripped off this January window then this underwhelming signing might be inevitable.

I'm trying to imagine Ulloa running onto one of those balls dinked behind defenders Benteke can't read or even move for and he stands a better chance than Benteke. He's certainly more mobile and busts a gut more. If he can actually wind his leg back at the right time and fire a shot off he'd be miles better than Benteke right now.

I hope Freedman and Roy have looked at lots of videos because there's certainly footage of Ulloa covering lots of ground to see what he can do and offer to teammates here.

would be a pathetic signing, the sort that deserves to see us get relegated. Even Huddersfield are signing more interesting strikers in Depoitre.

And he may have a point to prove and with it some hunger, similar of course to our current centre forward!

Looks like Leicester dont want to do a loan deal, but hopefully a small transfer fee would do it
