No. Just less significant to the safety and security of Britain. Not quite sure I follow you - how do you see either horrors as influencing Britain's security?

This should go without saying. Not less important as human beings, but less important to me than those I have a connection to. You are no different. If a person down the street that you know dies it doesn't impact you as would a member of your family dying does. This is just a further extension of that. All human life matters but not all human life impacts you the same. If that isn't true....and you view all life as of equal importance to you.....well I respect that but you really should be an aid worker in Africa or India or a war zone......because that's where the poor are dying quicker than anywhere else. Those are important people....but I'm not one of them. I'd also expect you not to support the EU as their restrictive trade practices mean that poor people in Africa can't compete and hence more go poor and hungry. Edited by Stirlingsays (21 Oct 2017 4.42pm) I don't feel any particular extra concern for Zimbabweans or Chileans in the face of what they are / were dealing with. I form a connection with my friends and family, and they are naturally more important to me than others. But that's about it, everyone else shares endless similarities and differences. So I don't think I agree with it being a 'further extension of that' in my case.

Decision has been reversed. Probably by the left.

Whether he was appointed by the left, right, or moderate middle, the fact that this massive NGO was ignorant to, or willing to overlook his past is proof that global governing agencies are ineffectual and out of touch

So do you see yourself as stateless? Not owning any allegiance to a country?

Agreed I think he might have briefly been a 'hero of some of the left' when you were much younger, and you have confused this with being a constant throughout all of history.

I doubt anyone in the UN is ignorant of who he is, and Zimbabwe.

Yes, it's true, I am old enough to remember the praise heaped on Mugabe by the left. I even remember talking to a guy who had left Southern Rhodesia just before it became Zimbabwe. I suggested it might be a success under majority rule as it had such a strong economy and resources. He replied that it would be one of the poorest countries in Africa within a few years under the communist lunatic Mugabe - how correct he was.

WHO gets it's first African leader, he appoints an African to a prestigious role. Funnily enough he was the only candidate to be leader who isn't a doctor. You might think he was appointed for some other reason...
