Probably code for dirty weekend in Amsterdam anyway. I know, like he's just happened to come to this conclusion - What he means is, he seeking help, because he's finally be caught, and will need to mitigate possible litigation damages and criminal charges. I'm sure there are a lot of nervous directors and producers in Hollywood who will be concerned that budding young actresses from years ago who considered this behaviour to be the norm at the time may feel comfortable changing their minds. About time. There are far darker stories, Elijah Wood spoke out about predatory sexual behaviour against child actors - I believe one of those was Cory Haim (Cory Feldman at the time said he blamed a specific Hollywood Mogul for his early death - Related to abuse at that individuals hands. Of course he didn't name the mogul either (who'd probably sue him into oblivion).

Then you have Roman Polanski. Remember him? The self-righteous egotistical actors like Meryl Streep are fine to criticise Trump for the "grabbing by the pussy" when they don't share the same liberal (sic) politics. But OK to give Polanski a standing ovation at awards shows and sign petitions to stop the US from extraditing him over his sexual abuse. Hypocrisy reeks. Polanski's work is great and deserving of the standing ovation (the artist needs to be separated from their actions), but he should have been in prison, serving time for child rape, as far back as the late seventies (even though he was convicted in absentia, he'd gone on the run because he was guilty and going to prison). There are some mitigating circumstances maybe, revolving around the brutal murder of his wife and child (in utero) by the Manson family but he sexually abused a 13 year old girl and that cannot be excused on the basis of his films or the actions of others.

People have a high moral view about this, but people in the same situation would rarely be moral enough to sacrifice their career and prospects, on a small chance of getting justice. Edited by jamiemartin721 (12 Oct 2017 9.52am) Let's not forget though that there were women here who turned him down and didn't report him and went on to have and still have massive careers. Many people use calculation within their careers feeling compelled to do ethically incorrect things to get on or seeing others do ethically incorrect things and chose to do nothing about it. They become tainted by it. Of course when this ethically incorrect thing is sexual everything is multiplied ten times. Essentially there is a question here about character, the reality is that most things in life involve trade offs and this is no different. We all know the brown nosing employee, most of us know of the good looking bird who got somewhere fast because she literally climbed that greasy pole. If that had been my daughter I'd hope that she'd slap him and walk out and report him. But ultimately it's her decision. Some did do that and that's why we get his eventful downfall. But the ones who went along with it....and then later on get out the pitchfork.....that's annoying. It's the ones who reported him who deserves all the praise....but most of those aren't famous I'd imagine. Edited by Stirlingsays (12 Oct 2017 3.25pm)

Hillary took 5 days to disavow him. I would like to see her hand his donations to sexual abuse charities. And yes she should go away. I'm sick of hearing about all the excuses on why she lost, the Russians, Bernie, sexism etc. She lost. And she lost to a reality TV star, probably the worst ever presidential candidate. Says it all. Oh and what about Bill Clinton's misdemeanours?? Even the stuff he did while in office?
The point is, though, that Hillary lost (as you said) and is now essentially out of politics, while Bill hasn't been president for about 17 years. Trump is the current president, and thus it is infinitely more salient to talk about his self-confessed sex-pest crimes and charges of same from accusers. You want Hillary to give back Weinstein's donations? How about conservatives give back Trump!

Sure, he deserves his downfall...whether they made a career or not....even if some of the boot kicking itself is being done by those who probably calculate their moral compass rather than live by it.

Obviously if he raped anyone then Jail is the only answer...for a long time. But all these fawning actress's who fcuked their way to the top moaning like cheap whores now can fcuk off, they made a concious decision to "sell" their bodies for fame and fortune. I'm sure there are plenty of actress's out there who didn't. Did he abuse his position of power ... of course but unless he was a multiple rapist then the choice was there's money and fame for a quick fcuk and they took it.

Ideally yes, but lets be honest, people think of themselves first in most situations, rather than a hypothetical other. And of course, nothing would come of it. The industry would close ranks, protect their own, the police would at best give it a cursory once over - and bang there you are, years of your life wasted pursuing a career that is no deader than Jimmy Hoffa. The ones who f***ed their way to the top aren't the ones speaking out. They're the ones shutting the f*** up. You're raging at the wrong people here.

You can ask. You can't pressure, force, or threaten someone into shagging you. It's against the law FFS!
