All this is fair, but those misses and mistakes happen in football. What shouldn't happen is those l disgraceful Huddersfield and Swansea matches. If they weren't so badly approached and after such a sh1t summer, the stuff you mention we could absorb. Frank and Parish are responsible for those and other things. Huddersfield they out fought us. Not SPs fault.

There was more to those games than the mistakes and on the mistakes you don't have to look very far to see why those players made the mistakes, and that all stems from a repeat of Pardew's project, only, without any doubt, much riskier. That is why Parish is at fault too. Huddersfield had about 6 chances anyway and Swansea was just pathetic. Unless the best prem manager around is available when there's a vacancy I'd say he isn't up to making crucial football decisions at this level. When he had a couple of prem managers recently there to be made an offer, he went and did what he did, surprising everyone, including me, and not for good reasons.

To ensure some balance I feel it has to be mentioned that SP didn't take a salary for over 5 years and this only changed when the Americans came in. He was the only prem league chief chairman not to be paid during our first 3 years back in the prem I repeat....check your source....sorry, Painter that you apparently have a very little brain....what I said is correct.

For the accounts published in 2017 but relating to season 2015/16 Parish did indeed get a salary of £692k p.a. Apologies for getting my dates mixed up. However, the accounts do confirm that no director (SP or the other 3) took any money out of the club in the 3 seasons in the Championship and the first 2 in the Prem. He was definitely the only chairman not receiving a salary during this period. I personally think for all his faults and mistakes 5 years without a salary is a massive statement of his commitment to this club and this cannot be questioned.

He owned 25% of the company and was in it for the capital appreciation of his shareholding and not a monthly income. Parish is already a multi millionaire, doesn't need the money and the lack of a salary increases the value of his equity stake so it makes economic sense to keep the money within the company whilst it was making losses rather than pay a huge chunk of it to the taxman

While I agree that Parish saw an opportunity getting the club and ground at a rock bottom price, it wasn't just that. He loved the thought of owning and running his local club he supported, which shows in him holding the reigns and being in the media spotlight whenever possible, until it goes really wrong.

People might appreciate it if you actually put some facts to back up your comments.
