If Benteke has to miss games, as things currently stand I think the Utd and Chelsea games are the ones I would choose. The odds are stacked against us getting anything from those games even with him fit.

So we are now without a recognised striker as opposed to an unrecognisable one . The difference being that we may have to use someone as a striker that will run around like a madman , chasing lost causes ,running the channels and maybe even taking a chance at a shot at goal . How will we ever cope .

See Campbell, are you having a laugh? He was despised on here. Do you really think what people 'think' on here has any link to the club? You are delusional, no one from CPFC management is going to read what's on here and I'm sure they couldn't give a toss what people's 'opinions' are here either.

Might as well leave him out of the squad for United and Chelsea and hopefully he will be fully fit and ready to go with Wilf back also and our season can start.
First match 5th October 1974 - not a good day! |

When we are playing the likes of Citibank away, Benteke and his style of play become redundant, if he is to be excused 'working his socks off' like a Campbell. So if this is where we are I would have kept Campbell and played him in the types of games that Benteke is not going to get the right service and support his game presumably requires. How's that for keeping him happy?

If you're old car is nearing the end of its course, you don't sell it then spend months looking for a new one - you have a replacement in hand. Or maybe you do.
