Depends how old the players are, and whether the coach is taking advantage of his position. The people at Bristol shouldn't have been the people to decide, it should have been independent.

Unlawful, maybe not, but against the rules, that's a lot harder to determine without seeing the contract and bylaws of employment as a coach and FA regulatory guidelines.

Just because something isn't a crime, doesn't mean its by default legal either.

We've just had a series of cases come up where 'allegations' were dealt with in house, and that resulted in systematic abuse.

No one should be 'policing themselves', if we're going to learn anything from the last couple of generations, its that organisations look to themselves, before they look to the rights of others.

This is a difficult line to walk. Surely, if you are over the age of consent and have joined a club voluntarily than if you want to shag the coach, why is that an issue? You could be doing it with the bloke down the pub instead and any employment situation is lible to creat friction with or without sex involved.

But its kind of hard to argue that anything inappropriate occurred if they ended up married. That doesn't really seem to be a case of someone abusing their position of authority.

Plus maybe they declared their relationship to the club or something similar.

Why do you say that? Because Brady was the boss?

Them getting married has absolutely no bearing upon how appropriate it was or wasn't.

Like I say, there are plenty of successful marriages between lecturers and students throughout history and this isn't something we would encourage now.

33-40% meet their partners at work. I don't think the issue is whether 10 girls in the office want to have sex with you, but whether you use your position as their manager to have sex with them, and as a result treat them differently to the others.

And if its in the contract you signed, when you joined - then you're immediately in breach.

People use their status to get sex all the time.
If you signed a contract saying no nookie then that is a consideration, but who does that? Could it even be a fair contract?

If you read the report, it's impossible to be on Aluko's side.
One of her complaints was, she was called a "pain in the arse"

I kid you not.

The whole thing is ridiculous.

Once people are over the age of consent and working it's almost verging upon religious zealotry for people to tell others who they can and can't shag.

It makes sense when you send your child to a school but situations like this when people are over age and working....too far.

More to the point, the whole thing was dealt with before and everyone moved on.
Can people now be punished for stuff they did years ago because of a revised attitude toward it? Not to mention, a very convenient attitude at a convenient time for the FA and the Parliamentary investigation.

It stinks.

The point is that what they finally used to force him out was nothing to do with her BS accusations (before she'd even met him, presumably), they just decided it would be prudent to set out to get him to save face and show how right on they are.

Hope he sues both the FA and Aluko, and wins (though I dare say if he does she'll say he's only doing it because he's a racist bully). It strikes me there is only one bully in this equation, and she's the one complaining. I found it laughable how angry she was on Twitter that the other players supported him (I think she called them 'selfish' - not quite sure where she got that from)

Andre Gray got a 4 match ban for things he wrote on twitter 4 years previously and while at another club.

I think the FA should ask for their £80K back.
