A last resort should have been to fill the remaining place in the 25 with a free agent (and there were a couple of decent looking ones out there), but we haven't even done that and, if we do now, by the time he's fit, it'll be the next window. We're in the same position with strikers as we were with LBs and we all know what happened there.

Having f***ed up royally over the striker situation I am wondering if they are keeping that one spot vacant in case either Benteke or Hennessy are injured and we can act accordingly although as you say the incomer won't be anywhere near match fit

I appreciate that Sakho did well for us and there was a clamour from supporters to buy him, however there are those who would say we were adequately covered in central defence with Dann,Tomkins,Riedewald,Fosu-Mensah, even Kelly and the £26million we spent on him could have better been used elsewhere.

Quite possibly, but most of the half decent free agents will have been snapped up by now.

In general they are 'Free agents' for a reason. I would suggest it is because of their abilities. There might be exceptions of course, Rooney being an example. It is possible that anyone 'Free' at the minute isn't really up to the task of performing to the level required in the PL.

Can you name one other Premiership club that only has one recognised striker in their squad

I've said this a number of times here and elsewhere, we have Ladapo too. Yeah, he might not be PL class but he is a recognised striker.

Same as last year we had a recognised LB in the form of Fryers. He may not have been the quality we needed but he was a recognised LB.

He sounded very unsure and not confident if he really knows what he is doing by the way he was saying things also I think he must beliee we are stupid he said things that didn't add up and was lies.

heres example of lie he stated he didn't set preseason and its manager staff (FDB hadn't been appointed when they was in asia also when Sam was there it was annouced which Sam even stated it was ideal)

Next he said there was no money so we was lucky with what we got and stated we did great this window but then states can change things in Jan (so if we have no money how can we do anything in Jan)

I can see why two top managers walked no way was Sam going to put up with that and people claim Pullis only wanted old people well look what he has done at West Brom.

He is too involved with things he doesn't understand and even sort of messed up saying this is why he got Dougie to help the youth side of things out (this should of been done years ago rather then keep claim they had a good setup when they clearly didn't)So many things I can go on about yes the guy invested when times was bad but he is out of his depth and needs to own up to it not stop being an owner but do like the Americans go into the background just watching how things go.

You obviously did not listen to his full interview and I suggest you listen to the pod cast on the whole program last night and pay more attention to what was said!

One thing that stood out for me... He did say that fdb tried defenders who hadn't practiced the 3 at the back formation that started against Huddersfield. Or at least one perhaps. He didn't state how many but he said some.

That for me my eyebrows raise just in line with my hairline.

I for one was quite surprised at how much attention Parish seemingly gave to social media/forums. In any other line of work, I don't believe a CEO would be swayed by what is written on forums.

To be fair to Steve he did try to add to our strike force, it just never happened, as can happen with transfers which can be very convoluted and protracted and heartbreaking. It wasn't for the want of trying and it appears that he is getting very peeved off with supporters who criticise without being in receipt of all the facts.

He did say that there was a place left for our 25th player on the list to the FA so that we can get a loan striker in which by what has been said is now going on behind the scenes. People need to stop moaning and let our club sort this mess out. we are all Palace fans so should stick together instead of all this bickering over our Chairman who is doing his level best to what is only good for the club.

He appears to have a strong desire to be 'the saviour' and be adored. Appearing on fawning Hol Radio when things are bad to give his own spin and appearing on TalkSport every 10 mins when things are great.

I agree that they've probably kept the 25th space open for whichever one of striker or keeper gets beheaded at a corner by one of our rivals and your prediction of quality of free agents is more than likely unfortunately.
