have a look at who they have played, to who we have, that should answer your question.

West Brom Away
Arsenal Away
Man city at home.

The only game I would argue was winnable was Watford at home where they lost 0-2, but then again Watford have been good value thus far.

Compare that to us losing to the European Footballing Giants

of Swansea, Huddersfield, and Burnley and you should understand why he's been fired.

He deffo should have been given the chance v Southampton. Looks like even if we had won yesterday he was a goner. Personality clash then maybe.

We have become a laughing stock , I never thought I would feel embarrassed about Palace after 54 years of support

Ask this question Woy ( what am I doing here ) Hodgson is not the greatest admirer of Wilf. Remember that .

I feel that the American share holders have not got a pot to piss in ,regarding what is required to run a premiership club , and SP ( we must all stick together) stab you in back Parish has not got a clue either in the transfer market or about managers , Pardew goes a year with out a. Win Frank gets 4 games.
Sick of it

Parish pretty much defended him after we played well yesterday. Today he sacks him. Makes me think 2 things happened...

A) There is more to the sacking than the results. Nobody would be sacked based on the game on Sunday, literally nobody has criticised the way we played. You can be p1ssed at him on the first 3 games, but not the Burnley match.

B)A new manager had been lined up and had reached late stages of negotiation before the Burnley game. Looks like Hodgeson but my gut tells me that's not the case. My gut gets a hell of a lot wrong so don't take that as gospel.

Either way the sacking has nothing to do with the Burnley game. Somebody reported a while ago that FDB is upsetting everyone at the club, I am starting to think that the story might have been on the money...

Strange decision, why appoint him in the first place if your not going to fully back him. But to say he's a s*** chairman is ridiculous, he's transformed the club from a s*** club in south London to an established premier league side. To say he's a lucky chairmen is moronic, I guess he was lucky with the appointment of Dougie Freedman, then the appointment of Ian Holloway who got us promoted, then got lucky for 5 years keeping us in the league.

I would suggest that "should be an established Premier League side" would be more accurate.

Superb? Put that 11 in front of any team in the top ten and see how good we might look.[/quot

We played superb yesterday! we had something like 65% of the ball, 23 shots at goal. Lady luck is not on our side. This 11 has been the same 11 since the 2nd game in. We should be winning these games against these teams, but to sack him now when we are ready to play MC, MU and Chelsea is a disaster.

There's more to being a good manager (and employee)than talent or even competence, and there are some people who are just so prickly that, no matter how good they are, the disruption they cause makes the effort not worthwhile. I've no idea what the real reasons are, but it would certainly be an odd decision if based on yesterday's game alone, which suggests there may be a lot more to it.

This decision shows Steve is brave enough to admit he made a mistake with Frank and has acted to try and correct the problem asap.

We must all hope this works out well.

I agree with you on that 100% and lets not forget all you loyal fans that had a go at SP because he did not get rid of AP soon enough. He just cannot win with some of you so called fans who think you know better than SP. None of us know what went on behind closed doors and the feedback SP got back from training staff, backroom staff and the players. Yesterday it looked like the players were really p1ssed off at the start of the match and had no interest in the game and it was only in the second half we saw a lot of the old palace spirit coming back and we played well and deserved at least a point from the game. I felt sorry for Lee when we conceded the goal as he was only doing what the manager had told them to do and that was back pass and with Wayne well out of his goal area he had no chance in stopping it. SP is looking ahead to the rest of the season and although I do not think woy will do a good job we must all go by a decision that is not ours to make. Instead of slagging SP off I do think we should go along with his choices and decisions as the good of our club is his wish too.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

All of our former managers had a personality clash with Parish it has been claimed.

Had we appointed Marco Silva or shown enough ambition to keep Sam interested or Pulis happy, we would not be replacing a manager after 4 games. Maybe even signing Sakho in time to have him ready for the start of the season would have done the trick.

sorry to keep reminding you that the club didn't go into liquidation and was saved and is now in back to back premier league status - that must be so annoying for you!!!

In my humble opinion Steve Parish has more than earned our loyalty and although he's effectively admitted he made a mistake employing FdB he's also putting it right swiftly.

How many on here were screaming at him to buy Sakho? And he bought him and saved the club circa £4m by doing it the way he did.

Ok, he remained loyal to Pards for too long but how many on here were screaming for Pards' head? And SP sacked him, saving our status again.

Parish could do nothing about Pulis' and Allerdyce's decisions to leave, but recovered those situations quickly and maintained our Premier league status.

SP has overseen the most successful period this club has ever had. But still he gets screamed at on here. You don't know what you've got until it's gone, so be careful what you wish for. But you're entitled to your opinion...

I think he should have been given more time, but to be honest he has been a s..t manager, team selection, has been crap for every game, substitutions have been crap, tactics nearly right for two halves, if we could have picked our first four games, we would have picked three of the four we got, and he has messed it up, Parish is damned if he does, damned if he doesnt, its a brave dcision, hodgson and dougie will do much better
