Sadly only saw the last forty minutes. lee does fit into the team basis and as time goes by will give way to young players coming through. His skill is keeping the ball and passing it to another Palace player freed of opposition attention. Most of those passes will be gentle rather than over hit. This care not to over hit meant that the ball did not go to Hennessy. It can be said that we did not have a full strength team, but who knows we will win matches using rotation so that young players get game time. Benteke needs to attract opposition players to him - perhaps over to the left - leaving their goalmouths more empty. We suffered from parked bus. Those last forty minutes were encouraging.

You think that was a back pass to keeper? He was looking at an area where the CB might be, about 35 yards out.

It was a back pass to the goalie. Just an incredibly unbelievably weak one. His last look before passing was toward Hennessy.

I say it every time he plays, but this time I mean it more than I ever have.

I never want to see him in a Palace shirt ever again. He is a complete and utter waste of a squad member. I've never known a player in football to live off of one goal than he has.

A supposed attacking player who can only pass the ball sideways or backwards. Should I see his or Puncheon's name on the team sheet on Saturday, I'll probably stay in the pub because I cannot bring myself to watch another 90 minutes of them ruining every attacking move we create. I've reached my limit.

You may want to rethink that

If he could pass at all it would be a start.

Lee is not the only player seemingly obsessed with (dangerous) back passes. Never know why they do it - giving away a throw-in or hoof the ball better & more safe. And the funny thing, some of the players keep on doing it. But having said that, any one who has played a bit of football for real (not only FIFA xx or similar) know that things like that may happen to anyone.
Chungy is a decent & honest footballer who hasn't got too many chances at Palace. No worse than a couple of others players. Please don't make him the spirit of evil because of his stint in 3rd minute at Turf Moor - still remember his effort vs Stoke in last minute as well.

unfortunately lee is just not good enough and should never have been bought.

He was supposedly Bolton's highest paid player and was 6 months away from a free transfer and was also injured when we bought him. Why not wait the 6 months extra and save yourself maybe £2m in lost wages and transfer fee. Why was Pardew so desperate to sign him and why did SP allow it?

He is too small, has no upper body strength and struggles to impose himself on game. when I saw him in the line up yesterday I thought Burnley away would be difficult for him and so it proved.

The backpass was a disgrace - we were in an attacking position.

Whilst like Mutch, I am never impressed in the few outings they have, the biggest question is why Pardew was ever allowed to buy them as neither are good enough and both are on silly wages.

I suspect neither will ever start a top flight game for us again (Hudd in cup is not a top flight game!!)

What about from the 4th minute until he was hooked? Was terrible.

Lumeka played well, but them being so deep helps. How many kids get thrown in for full games anyway? Usually drip fed in.

That back pass was a freak mistake, on top of freak mistake of Kelly's de Boer impression v Swansea. If we had 4 points those wouldn't matter so much. Frank made the error in not getting points with a strong line up played out of position. He made mistakes now player mistakes are adding to his own.

Its not the first time Lee has cost us a goal nothing freaky about it is Kelly making a mistake is not freaky its what we expect. FDB has lost his job by the sound of it man management was a problem so maybe the mistakes are partly a symptom of that.

Lee mad a great fuss about not being picked when he wasn't good enough and de Boer evidently saw something in him. Then he repays his confidence with a performance like that.

I used to think he was a squad player who'd been pardewed but now I'm convinced he's simply toilet.
