What they received today was the complete opposite, so yes spoiled children who don't understand the first thing about support or when it's required. Seasoned 'fans'? Then that makes it even more embarrassing as they should know better if they've truly followed the club for so long, absolutely no excuse.

Many of us have been fans for decades. If you have been a palace fan for any length of time you will know we are among the most tolerent set of fans there are. Over the years we very rarely boo the team. We are (apart from a notable few) always very good at clapping/acknowledging returning ex players. So I think you have picked the wrong set of fans to label the way you are. The reason for the strong feelings on this occasion, are because the wounds are still very much sore from the Pardew experiment last year and most can see FdB is taking us down a similar route that will risk our Prem status. Relegation would be a distaster and completely avoidable if we learnt from and built on the recent lessons from BFS, be compact, be hard to beat and play to our strengths.

Yep, that's football and it will happen again, to many teams. Look at Chelsea today, lost at home to Burnley and get 2 players banned for up to 3 games. However, what's really 'embarrassing' are the screaming children on here complaining that they didn't get their toy of choice today - a home win on day one of the season. Edited by europalace (12 Aug 2017 6.26pm) To be fair, the reaction has been measured. Few people have said the "R" word and I don't think anyone has reacted in a way that should not be expected having been thumped at home by Huddersfield. It is not embarrassing to be disappointed by the result. For me, the result is testimony to the fact that we are still in that group at the very bottom of the Premiership, no more, no less. The result means nothing in the tapestry of a long Premiership season, but anyone who is hoping for a season of relative calm and mid table obscurity (like me) will have come to the realisation that this season is probably not going to be like that.

yep, that's support, especially after 1 game. Allardyce took several games to start getting results and many were moaning about him also after the first couple games. So yes, stand exactly by what I said above, or are you asking for your expenses to be refunded whenever the team loses?

Didn't Allardyce start off with 3-4-3 and we only started winning when he ditched it?

So yes, stand exactly by what I said above, or are you asking for your expenses to be refunded whenever the team loses? When BFS came in he had no pre-season and had 4 weeks to sign players. FDB has had a pre-season and around 2 months to sign players, I am sorry but we have just lost to a team that was in the championship last season in this league you need to beat teams like this. We can't keep relying on a big result like last season against Arsenal, Chelsea and so on also how many times are us fans going to make excuses. Just accept that today was a shambles and we as paying fans have a right to moan and be disgruntled wether this FDB, SP or the American Investors fault today was not acceptable and things need to change fast before it is too late. There are no saviours around this time and sooner or later you run out of lives look at Villa & Sunderland to name a few. Whether people liked it or not Dyche was the obvious choice at this current time as he plays a similar way to BFS. Burnley today were great and played to there strengths that's how Voakes scored his goals playing to his strength something we are not doing with Benteke. It's going to be another long season sorry but this is the truth.

Had patience for that because it's the style that has always worked for Palace. The players look lost, we have the wrong squad for these tactics. You're so naive if you think this is all about just losing one game. Edited by cpfc1976 (12 Aug 2017 8.13pm)

No i don't want to be refunded every time we lose, if I did I'd be a very rich man . But as a member I have a right to my opinion wether it right or wrong . And I stand by exactly what I said .

Plus everyone booed Sam when we played 3-4-3 against Sunderland and lost 4-0. He changed the formation, started winning and kept us up. That sounds like a huge success story for booing a manager now I think about it.
