I don't think we are f***ed to the point of causing our own extinction for at least a few hundred more years.

but I do believe 'climate change' is real and either made by mankind or exacerbated by mankind. then there is the issue of relentless plastic production, most of which never really degrades, some of which is destroyed marine life.

but humans are -- like rats and mosquitoes -- pretty adaptable species. so some of us will be able to survive in very different environments to those we have now.

in terms of conflict...personally I am of the view Saudi Arabia will invade Qatar. Iran will do loads of military stuff in the Persian gulf, but ultimately NOT respond in any really serious way. oil will go up to about $80 or $90.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

And just to think, had she gone swimming into that reef 10 or 20 years from now there would be no cheap fossil fuels, and hence no speedboats.

The End of Cheap fossil fuels will be the undoing of all the rest of us. How many cities are landlocked and dependent on lorries full of food for their survival ?

Old european cities were built before fossil fuels and fed by boat : Barcelona, Rome, Paris, London.

New cities like across the US will be totally isolated when fossil fuels get expensive.
