Utterly ridiculous, not even a debate. Wrong foot, no pace and not the best tackler. I'm off to start a Hennessy up front thread. Doh!

you guys remember Punch used to be a right midfielder, supposedly in a 3-4-3 the wide players are midfielders more than defenders so it's not the wildest suggestion. Townsend does work better though, you can see why he's picked there so far. Those wide midfielders do HAVE to play wide and overlap, basically stretch the opponents, leaving spaces for the wide forwards and CM's to push into. Punch would cut inside too much, crowding the center of the park, Andros at least gets to the lines even if he does want to check back all the time.

I nominate PVA as a midfielder could be the glue the teams needs.

Andy Johnson Magic, He wears a Magic Hat
When he Sees the match ball, he says he having that

Chungy and Johnny Williams at CB, adds a bit of composure on the ball to the backline.

So me writing a topic for discussion, which is all it was means that I am not a true Palace supporter? There really are some tossers supporting this club who have more interest in berating people on a website than they do actually supporting the club. Your type of comment reminds me of people who write in the Mag.

We understand the wingback role mate, we've also seen puncheon for 100s of games. Genuinely don't think I've ever seen him overlap in a Palace shirt, as you say, it's the punch 360 or cut inside every time. It is, a ridiculous suggestion.
