Calling a protest a 'day of rage' is so close to incitement that it isn't only wrong it's unethical....the idiots who feed off these protests hardly need more encouragement to damage businesses and property. Whoever called it that is an idiot and I hope there are consequences for them. Bang on. Has to be an utter w@nker to come up with that title. Unfortunate it's happening in the middle of a heat wave. If violence kicks off then I hope there are repercussions for the genius who christened the day though I doubt there will be.

Agreed, 100% It's an old title nicked from the late 60's anti-vietnam Chicago protests.

You are fast becoming the HOL equivalent of the footballer who rolls over 20 times and screams in agony after a little trip from behind. If we're doing analogies, does that make you the equivalent of Lee Bowyer then? Dirty, niggly, mouthy and not really hard enough to front anyone up (apart from perhaps his own teammates). I suggest you grow up, or organise some sort of playground fight club with Nick so you can both get it out of your systems without clogging up numerous forum threads.

Of course, but thoughts make a difference. Some idiot has just been arrested for making a Facebook post. Whoever came up with this title is a disgrace. Its an odd choice, because it relates to the 1969 Days of Rage Chicago protest by the Weathermen (an offshoot of the SDS). Turn out was pretty poor, far below the expectations of the Weathermen, and it was instrumental to the collapse of the Weathermen, and the formation of the Weather Underground (based around core members). If I remember rightly only around 1000 protestors turned up, and were outnumbered 2 to 1 by police.

That said, I think it has been welcomed and paraphrased by some of those involved. There's also likely to be some hijacking from protesters with different motives.

It's like none of you have ever been young nor rebellious and were born looking for the nearest suit outfitters, asking for Careers in the City as your very first book, and getting into the queue to sign up to the under-1's group at your local Conservative Club.

Well excuse me for always having been a Conservative - why is that such a problem? Is it a legal requirement to be a rabid leftie when you're at Uni?
