Does Iván Kaviedes count?

I don't mean to sound bitter, cold or cruel, but I am so that's how it comes out

Yes, an extra point for remembering too.

Slightly off topic but do you remember Fumaca? We were really desperate in 1999.

Padavano top of my list. I am sure we signed an Israeli who grabbed the ball to take a pen. His name escapes me but he was proper pony. The two chinamen never really delivered for me either.

Surely you don't mean Palace legend Fan Zhiyi? Arguably the best Chinese player ever to play for the club?
About 10 years ago in Fuerteventura the boss of a Chinese restaurant same over to buy us free drinks because my son had his Place shirt on - he couldnt speak any English other than say "Fan Zhiyi very good player!"

Following Palace since 25 Feb 1978

I actually thought Fan did OK in a poor palace team, he certainly stayed around. Was more consistant that the other one Sun Jai or whatever his name was

Agreed, worked really hard in the team and recollect him winning the penalty in the play offs which would of sent us to Wembley. Maybe he should of took it himself !!

I seem to remember it was Tom Soares who was brought down by Nicky Carle (ironically)! right in front of our fans. Shame about the penalty but Ben Watson did score the other two goals over the two ties.

Andy Dorman. Was hot property in Scotland at the time.

A digestive biscuit would of done more in our midfield than him.

Yannick Bolasie - Glenn Murray - Wilfried Zaha

Most exciting attacking trio at Selhurst Park in years.

Padavano is probably top of my list for the worst Palace player I can remember. His name is absolute mud in my household. I would've volunteered his name but I can't actually think back to whether or not there was much hype about him joining us.

There was loads of hype. He was serie A's top goal scorer a few seasons before he joined us.

Charlie Cooke, once Kings Rd star, once he got here past his best.

His legs may not have been as good as they once were but his footballing brain was miles better than anyone else that we had at the time.

He would play the most sublime passes for one of the forwards to run on to but unfortunately the forwards just weren't bright enough to know in which direction they were supposed to go.

Thank you, my memory was just failing me. I remember Lombardo getting a lot of hype (rightly so) but couldn't remember either way with Padovano.

For a while it used to be my regular April Fool's joke with my dad. "Hey dad, Padovano is coming back to Palace".

In more recent years I did put Padovano's face over one of those "new signing" pics during an Ian Holloway transfer window and tweeted it. Not something anyone would fall for but I could almost hear the collective sound of skin creeping at the thought!
