My main concern is that we've now gone through the best two managers in a relegation battle and I can see us being in another one next season. We're quite possibly going to have player retention and recruitment issues and, whoever is appointed, there is always an element of starting again; look how long it took Sam to get some traction.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Agree on it all and unless we've got an insurance policy it looks like my easy going next season is going to be full of the Unknown at the very least. As much as I wanted Sam to stabilise us for a few years it's Parish who has the club at the top of his priorities, not the manager. If Parish has to step in because manager wants a, b and c players who'll keep us up but leave us £30-40 mil short in the transfer market in 2-3 years which is what can get teams relegated then he'll be right. But that doesn't stop you thinking less interference should be happening of course.

Similar to when Parish told Pulis is which players he could and couldn't sign regardless of price. His job isn't to manage the team, once an owner starts that they need to piss off. We've lost the only two real premier league managers we've ever had because of him. And moron of the day goes to.... And for the record, Hennessey was given a new contract before Allardyce even arrived. Parish continues to be the best thing that has ever happened to this club. If BFS doesn't want to play by his rules (rules that have served this club well) then so be it, bye bye Sam and thanks very much. Plenty of other managers out there that can do more than just save a club from relegation.

I can't believe someone is saying this....Must be trolling. Parish has done so much for this club....Trolling or mentally ill.

I love these posts, jumping to conclusions "its all Parish fault " now it has been confirmed that Allerdyce retired and it has nothing to do with transfers or his working relationship with Parish

Beat me to it. Although you were much kinder about the jerkers than I was planning on being. Looks like BFS played the last of this season for a pension top up

And this statement proves how idiotic this thread and many comments are towards Parish.Im absolutely gutted but you can't knock Alardyce and fair play to him for what he done for us and what Parish continues to do for us.I wish these morons would learn the facts before shouting their dumb mouths off towards, in my view, one of the best owners in football.
