The players I see that Sam would want in the the 25 man in my opinion:- Hennessy, speroni, ward, Delaney, Tomkins, Kelly, schlupp, PVA , luka , Townsend, Wilf , Benteke, wickham, puncheon <14> Question marks over (if Sam rates them) - mcarthur, dann, chungy, sako, mutch

Or is it to ramp up pressure on the board to stick their hands in their pockets. Maybe he sees that a massive overhaul is needed and needs at least 60 to 70m . 60 to 70m. You're taking the proverbial, right?
"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!" |

60 to 70m. You're taking the proverbial, right? We actually spent - 51.5m (not net spend)in the last summer window. talksport.com/football/transfer-window-spending-summer-2016-every-premier-league-club-ranked-least-most-money?p=11 If we want to sign Sakho that half the budget gone.

Their was a break clause at the end of the season. If both parties could agree to leave without compensation but bonus paid. Like other people mentioned on this thread. He's 62 living in a hotel and if a similar job was offered he probably be off. In a recent interview he said he had a nice apartment overlooking the Thames which he loved. It's quicker (by train or plane) to get back to Bolton now than it was when he was at Sunderland and, I'd imagine, his family are happy to come day an for a visit unlike back then.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

On the coast of Yorkshire they call Yorkies 'Comforts' who go there on 'bankies' bank holidays. 'Comforts' cos they come for t'day.

Does anybody believe that Allardyce is fully "Wedded" to our club ? His family home is in a Cul-De-sac in Bolton and apart from W.Ham (And ourselves of course !) , his managerial jobs have mainly been in the north. Having secured our survival he will feel that it is "Mission accomplished" and maybe he might feel that he would rather accept another such challenge further up north ? You really are a doom and gloom merchant and invariably your pontifications are proved to be wrong. Pardew will not be sacked, just a few days before he was - We are likely to be relegated, until we beat Hull Some call you a glass half empty person but I think that your glass was completely drained some time ago

Pardew will not be sacked, just a few days before he was - We are likely to be relegated, until we beat Hull Some call you a glass half empty person but I think that your glass was completely drained some time ago I actually said a long while before the "Axe fell" on Pardew that he wouldn't be removed of his duties in the near future as many were speculating.I also said that he wouldn't be sacked even if we lost at Swansea and he lasted 4 games after that so I cannot be criticised for being wholly wrong. Regards Allardyce, I never insinuated he was "Likely to leave", all I said was that he might fancy a challenge nearer to his home and up north. This is a bit different to stating that he is "Likely to leave". Like others I have been proved wrong on certain things and I am delighted that I was proved wrong about relegation.I "Put my hands up" on this but even then got pilloried even though I was admitting my mistake.

Parish tweeted after the final game about the 84 day plan to get into the top 10 next season. Surely that shows that we still have ambition and despite spending £45m in Jan, from the way he's talking it looks like there should be funds available to strengthen this summer.

Does this look like Sam is leaving, quote/The squad will now undergo modifications, with Allardyce trying to get a group together that can keep Palace moving in the right direction next term. “We have a lot of players that we have to make decisions on one way or the other in the next seven to 10 days,” Allardyce said. “We shall do that with the chairman (Steve Parish) as quickly as we can, and, as usual, dip into the market if and when we can, when there is the right player available. “So summer will be difficult, as always. “It is never easy. But the ever-increasing cost of players is a big problem for any football club, and is for Crystal Palace, having to pay that sort of money.” /unquote,

Defoe wants £6 million signing on fee plus £110,000.00 a week and Sigurdsson is looking for £120,000 a week. Pickford will cost around £30 million according to Sunderland. Crazy money and that is what we are up against.
