This!

The arrogance of expectation some fans have about the Hull game is astounding. Such arrogance came up short against Burnley and could well do so again on Sunday.

I'm worried about relegation because Hull are playing with pride and passion, things we don't seem to know much about at present. Also, after last night, it's pretty clear that on the last day of the season Spuds will have nothing to play for. They're comfortably second and will finish second regardless. That can only be good news for Hull.

If only the ref and lino had polished their glasses (or at least worn them) before they officiated in the Burnley match there would not be such a big worry on Sunday. Or maybe the home game against Liverpool 3-2 down and Wilf gets taken down and they go up the other end and score. Or maybe Everton when Schlupp (from memory) is taken down and they score (after a throw on). I have been googling injury list and Scott Dann or James Tomkins for a week or so now.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Or Snotarse dive.
Or God knows how many Wilf penalties.
Or Southampton's foul on Wilf just before they score.
Or if they had not bottled red cards for Tom, Dick and Harry for fouling or assaulting (mostly) Wilf.

I don't think people are being arrogant about the game. I for one am bricking it. But I'm not going to fall into this doom and gloom cr@p people seem to want to go down. They bang on about passion. Hang on a minute! Yes City away was awful, Burnley not great either but before that I saw loads of passion and quality. Injuries have hit hard and we've got to hope we somehow play through it but pi*s off with the 'no passion' rubbish. Saturday maybe, other times we've been decent. Ref and Lino do their job properly be Burnley this would all be academic anyhow. We need to take that sense of injustice into Sunday's game.

That said, i still feel Sunderland are going to come up with another surprise.

the other issue being on here, you'll have 40 plus year olds who have seen most of what life can throw at them and can take mostly anything in football without being pissed off or depressed too much, and you'll be unknowingly trying to change an 18 year olds mind on it not being the end of the world etc....

Well said.

I remember many many times when Palace losses have

negatively impacted on my life.

I'm now of an age whereby I don't subscribe to Bill

Shankley's famous mantra.

Why do Palace ALWAYS have to do things the hard way?

Probably go to the last game of the season & we score an injury time winner to beat Man Utd 1-0 to stay up.

REALLY hope Swansea lose on Saturday. Sunday will be TOO MUCH if we have to win/draw against Hull.

Can't rely on Spurs helping us out either if we need them to beat Hull the last game.

If it's Palace it will be Man. Utd scoring the injury time winner to send us down.

I'm 62 (63 in November) and I will be extremely depressed if we're relegated. I'm hoping that this time we'll establish ourselves and, at last, drag our infrastructure into the 21st century. Who knows when we'll next be in the PL if we go down?
