I think Everton will beat Swansea and we will be 6 clear effectively 7 with GD and we will be fine

I'm fairly sure that this idea that most fans have that teams with nothing to play for tend to do less well than they would otherwise have done if they had something to play for is a myth. Like playing against 10 men is harder than playing against 11.

We beat Liverpool 3-1 away with nothing to play for. We beat Swansea and Stoke at home last 2 seasons with nothing to play for. We drew 3-3 with Liverpool when they were going for the title and we had nothing to play for.

While we could go down I don't think Swansea should be considered favourites against Everton. Form and quality suggest Everton should be favourites.

I think you have to draw a distinction between teams with pride and those with none. Stoke played with f*** all pride last week and Watford were little better. West Brom will be the worst of the lot and I reckon Pulis would be delighted to sit on the beach whilst his players sent us down by performing like s***e and their fans laughed their arses off like the clowns did after that 2-2 draw. Zero pride.

We won't be like that (although it might be interesting if we end up with Hull and Palace both requiring a draw but both being in bother if they lose - Austrian situation). And I don't think Everton will be either and neither will Sunderland (the problem there is that they're s***e anyway).

Having said which I had more respect for Southampton than to expect them to be so bad at the weekend there.

It wouldn't be pulis fault we went down. It will be the fact that we lost 11 home games. Including losing 4-0 to Sunderland

Seriously? Campbell is about as much use as a busted chocolate teapot. I'd rather take the risk on Remy - who at least has been good at some point in his career as a striker.

Ledley and Flamini, yeah I think they're definitely replaceable, but I they're not terrible as 'third line' either, and it might be tricky to replace them with someone better with the lure of maybe making the bench if someone gets injured.

Souare needs to be properly evaluated - He suffered a potential career ending injury. With Schlupp and PVA its likely he's looking at half a season on loan. Fryers is never getting past any of those options.

Hennessey is a good keeper, but with Sunderland going down, we should put an offer in for Pickford. Hennessey as back up, and Speroni as the third man if he still wants it (as he'll be cheap and much loved).

That's at least 9 new signings. Going to be an interesting summer.

For the Hull match, which seems almost like another Hillsborough crunch game, can we see what Alan Lee and Darren Ambrose are up to?

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

With the players expected to be released and making the necessary upgrades, 4 or 5 new signings wouldn't be unreasonable.

Can anyone name the players - or even some of them - whom Holloway recruited pre-season 13/14?

I seem to recall reading once about some teenager arriving from South America, turning up (allegedly invited) at Palace, and promptly being told to f off. I think, though, that that was probably earlier than 2013. Whenever it was, he's no doubt playing in the Premiership.

Off the top of my head. There are others.
