A very odd viewpoint. They lost something like their 1st six, played like a 3rd tier outfit.

It's not about the scoreline you know but the opposition as well as us and how we went about doing the business on the day. Stoke were absolutely toilet so how anyone can say that was the best performance of the season is laughable. You may as well say our early league cup victory every season is our best performance.

Blimey - you still have a lot to learn football wise. We imposed ourselves and were really up for it from the first minute to the last v Stoke and it wouldn't have mattered if the real Stoke had turned up. We still would have beaten them in all aspects. Credit where credit is due and that was our most dominant and attacking performance this season for sure. You can't accept that because Pardew was our manager. A one-eyed fan to be sure.

Now West Brom was the most impressive result. I get that. Thanks, Sam. But footballing performance? That's v Stoke. Thanks, Al.

The man is doing good. Not necessarily pretty, but good

Who gives a f*** about pretty? We're Crystal Palace not Barcelona.

Why are people so hung up on style of football!? Talk about fussy. I like us beating opposition and sticking it up opposition fans. Couldn't give a f*** how good we look doing it.

3 wins and 3 clean sheets on the trot. Thanks Sam.

6 wins in a year and a cup final defeat along with a silly dance and a 5-4 defeat against relegation rivals where a point was a minimum. Thanks Al.

Edited for completeness. Nothing like being able to close out games. Sam can do it, Pardpoo cannot. S

Really? This thread may be worthy come may but for now, please get some perspective. We're improving, it's commendable and I'm warming to Sam. But for Christ sake some people are praising him on biblical preportions whilst also still bringing up Pardew. I guess this is football, I guess this is the culture we live in. It's just a bit ott and childish IMO.

Childish and needless indeed. I was one for seriously doubting Allerdyce but he is delivering now and of course I can appreciate that. To keep bringing up "the Pardew lovers" just is smug bragging. Or should anyone who doubted Allerdyce really begone Mo?

3 wins and 3 clean sheets on the trot. He deserves all the plaudits going.
Super Al couldn't buy a clean sheet.

Agree with this. 3 wins on the trot an 3 clean sheets is fantastic and just what we needed. Yet, people seem to forget we lost 4-0 at home to Sunderland, 2-1 at home to Swansea, couldnt beat a piss poor Watford side away, 3-0 away at West Ham....

I think we can start celebrating come May if Big Sam really has been a true hero. Those 3 results are huge, just a shame we couldn't get points from those 'winnable' games earlier, otherwise we'd be a as good as safe.

We are seeing some real SA related progress now.

Having identified the weak spots in the team / squad, the transfer window was critical and I think it was a good one.

He's got the players looking far more organised and made us harder to beat.

We have a tough run it, and ultimately it could be that is our undoing. But I feel more confident going into those games than I did a few weeks ago.

I have to admit I had my doubts, but am gradually warming up to him.
We now have to show are worth against one of the big boys starting with Chelski.
