Sakho a great loan signing by Sam and the board.I would love Sakho to be a Palace player next season if his form and behaviour remain as it today. Liverpool may not want him but there will be no shortage of teams willing to meet a £20m plus asking price and wages north of £100k per week. The decision will be Sakho’s not Liverpool nor Palace. He definitely wanted Jenkinson, who would have offered us more in an attacking sense than Ward. If we stay up then i RB will definitely be a position we see strengthened. If Sunderland go down and we stay up then expect him to be in for Defoe. Defoe is still sharp but past his sell by date not one for the future.

Sam is top class. He could well go to Barcelona to resurrect his England dreams, and it wouldn't hurt his CV for other PL jobs. But, alas, I think he's past the age where living in a different culture and having to learn a new language would attract him. He'd be wanting to live in England IMO. He'll be 63 this October, and if he's got cute grandkids I'd say that he'd want to be near them. He looks like he enjoys a beer with the lads too - he'd miss that. But to reiterate a point, there were posters on here slagging him from the moment he started and praising that Pardew tosser. A message for them: if he's good enough for England and even remotely possible for Barcelona - then he's well good enough for Palace. If we beat relegation he'll be the steadying influence into our long-term survival as a PL contender. Only 2 or 3 positions to fix and we'll be chasing Europe. Long Live King Sam!

I reckonwe'd push hard for Koné if we stayed up, Sunderland went down and we didn't keep Sakho.

Without doubt Ward needs replacing if we are to keep progressing. Far too weak in possession, lacks pace, and doesn't contribute enough going forward. Can be solid at the back and that is what will recover with confidence being restored, but he'll never be good enough if Sam wants to move us on. By the sounds of it we also need to think strategically about a replacement for Wilf. Even if we stay up, I can't see him turning down Spurs and they look likely to come back with a decent reasonable offer this time. Mandanda - if he settles - is a quality keeper and needs to be given time, but it is looking suspiciously like he doesn't want to settle and we'll not see him again. On that assumption then yes we obviously need a new keeper. Oh and assuming we do stay up, then trying to secure Sakho on a perm move would be a major coup. Edited by OknotOK (07 Mar 2017 10.59am) Zaha is GONE in the summer, whatever happens. He's too good for us. It's as simple as that.

If the team can carry on getting results you never know. The lads might all want to stay. For sure two months ago, I've no doubt many were thinking of jumping ship at the end of the window. But footballs a funny old game, and let's just hope magic sam can turn this ship around enough for them ALL to see what a great club there AT. Time for us to start singing and letting them know how much we love them !
