As has been said earlier in these posts there is no evidence that he wants out but I said before we bought him that he would use us as a shop window; what I didn't expect was him to play so badly. The laziest centre forward ever to put on a CPFC shirt and I include Wickham in that. If the article is true expect him to raise him to up his game to attract interest which, will of course help our cause. As regards his spat with Townsend......man up!

For all his failings the biggest problem AP created for himself was the squad developed an, "Oh well, better luck next time, it will all be alright", attitude. After such a run Sam seems to have found it far more deep rooted and difficult to cure than he expected.
There was no self analysis, no questioning and no self policing, especially on the pitch. There was no one taking responsibility. This half arsed, airy fairy attitude has destroyed what should of been our best ever season in the prem and cost the team it's togetherness.
Personally that argument on Saturday was the first sign in more than a year that the team actually started acting like a team. You chew each other out, stand your ground and then its all forgotten. If the forgotten bit has happened then I think everything will be fine. As for whether he's happy right now, I'd bleedin hope he isn't because the team is struggling.
I have to believe that if Jedi was still in the squad, this wouldn't of happened, but you never know.

have seen him play for villa....literally lost most of what he had...very depressing to see.

good memories

Yeah right lol

Perhaps it's our style of play, but when we lost at hoke to Villa 2 years ago, he robbed Dann by the touchline and ran for goal before curling it past Speroni. Not seen anything like that wince he's been here.

Playing for Palace you have to give 100%. Something Benteke rarely done. Benteke 1 goal in 12 prem games. Not looked interested. If he doesn't score he brings nothing to Palace.

Surely that's more to do with Dann in that particular game rather than benteke apparently being lazy and s*** isn't it? I find it unfeckin believable how people can question his work rate and ability when all we have done since he's been here is whack it long to him time after time with zero support and expect him to take on an entire defence on his own.what is the bloke meant to do when he's playing in a team like that? Hopefully things have turned now though as we looked so much better and supported him a lot more against middlesboro.

I'd rather Townsend go than Benteke! What has Townsend contributed apart from one game. I would consider my options if I had someone who is meant to feed me the chances to make me do my job, choosing to blast an aimless shot in to row Z. It reminded me of playground football. I think Benteke has been given a thankless task up on his own, and he is doing his best with a lump it up to him system that doesn't suit.

I feel good times are around the corner with big Ben. If he wants out-- and for it to be a good move -- then it's time for him to step up his performances. I saw glimpses v 'boro that encouraged me.

I don't care how drama-queenish the players want to be right now. Let's stay up and take stock then.

If we do manage it, then I feel we'll all be more upbeat for next season regardless of transfers in and out. There are quality alternatives for us if he wants to go and a good close season would put 10 points on this squad.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

That dubious distinction obviously goes to Bumfluff. Then what about Akinbyi, Adebayor, Sanogo?

Campbell has no shortage of work rate but I wouldn't pick him in front of Benteke.

Benteke will be lauded as a 'Hero' when he scores the winner at WBA !There will be no questions raised about his workrate.

If he wants to go and we get more than we paid then no problem. That sort of transfer fee is a massive gamble for a club of our size and if we stay up and recoup the money then I consider that good business.
