The main thing is we have another turning point soon ,onwards and upwards ,COYP Yeah but Pardew's still a c***, surely?

The worse our run got the more he tried to nick the extra points which resulted in defeat ,defeat and defeat . He wasn't a c*** ,if he was he was an unlucky c***

When Pardew was allowed to buy the players. He preferred Sanogo to Murray - should have been a sign. He made a policy of buying players from relegated sides - you get what you pay for. He simply does not know a player.

They're gone. Forget them. Play the game today but be aware of how many points you may not win in games coming up vs top 6 sides.

The turning point ? Offering Pardew an improved contract at a time when the press were touting him as a possibility for the England job, when all the while our results were turning sour. AP must have thought he was a ' made man '. And proceeded to pursue a playing policy that was failing in front of our eyes. Speaking as a fan and season ticket holder etc., my thoughts were that we lacked a better class of central defender, that we didn't have a ball winner in midfield post Jedi and that Cabaye and Punch together doesn't work. And yes, no balance on the left and a fading Ward at right back. Pardew didn't address those issues - I have to assume he didn't think it necessary. And he got paid £2m a year for that view. SA has come in and signed players that will hopefully resolve those problems. Much as I respect the work that Steve Parish has done for this club, I think he's been failing in his job for over a year now. Let the abuse commence....

I'd never abuse you, Neillo as I find myself agreeing with everything you say.

Parish totally should be taking the blame - putting too much trust in Pardew. He should know one swallow doesn't make a summer. It's his club, his money - get a second opinion, seek advice from others.

You are correct. There have been mistakes ever since then. Numerous repeated mistakes on the pitch every week, fortnight or 3 weeks. Errors made ignoring certain areas on the pitch in that transfer window and the summer 2016 window. Not sacking Pardew 3 days after the final once the hype had faded, his hangover had gone and ego had deflated from the size of Wembley to the size of Sutton Utd. Not sacking Pardew after Swansea. Not sacking Pardew after Hull. Hiring Sam or anyone later than it should've been done. Oh and chucking the 1st games of the season every year is never a great idea. West Brom at home? What about poor prep after the international break vs a West Ham that needed and wanted the win and us that just played with it expecting it to drop on our laps'. That is why they were the happiest group of players he ever worked with. They had it easy, and that ease made it easy for oppo to target us. Edited by Rudi Hedman (15 Feb 2017 9.29am) Oh that annoyed me so much. Could use those 3 points now coudn't we? Alan effing Pardew - what a dunce.
