You hear pundits say words to the effect that Selhurst is a hard place to come to, even Guardiola mentioned the other day that it isn't easy at Selhurst ! Perhaps they were talking about the traffic or the bus/rail links!

Yes we can, we need to play a little better away and massivly better at home to do it. We crumble easily once behind but if we dont go behind we play really well and always look like we deserve point from a game.
But god this is going to be uncomfortable, the better side in a horrible position in the league, its the Sheff Wed season all over again...

All depends, as always, on if there's better we can get. Sam is better than Pardew btw. May not look that way to a few right now but Pardew either would've relegated us this season or next season. He was gradually destroying it all with his slapdash approach to everything. Parish would've kept him on or dithered over sacking him and the transfer window would've been a joke, possibly doing more damage. At least we've bought well this window and arguably last window, even if Tomkins is unsaleable at this level. Benteke, Townsend and Mandanda we would get money for if we have to. We just didn't address enough and thought we were done as soon as Benteke signed. Then Mile left, no replacement, no 2nd bid on Rincon, Wilshere going to Bournemouth and Flamini coming in with his boots loaded with treacle till December. Some manager that super al.

In fact I'd go as far as saying there's a lot of saleable assets in the team, they're just like England. Sh1t all together. The problem would be that too many go and too much overhauling to do. But we'd be in a strong position to compete, nowhere near a Villa.

But that is at the back of my mind and something for them to consider in a month if we're still in a precarious position.

Funnily enough... despite how bad Saturday was for morale, we are in a "better place" than we were before the Bournemouth game.

Yes we have dropped to 19th in the league, but we are now competing with at least 5 teams rather than just 3 and the difference is only 2 points to top that mini-league.

Mind you, both Hull and Swansea seem to have more fight in them than we do. I cannot see either of them losing at home to Sunderland.

absolutely right ,but i thought our scouting had been upgraded , we do not have a proper indoor training area pulis nearly walked out after a few days when he realised what our facilities where like ,but lets hope the new players and a change of tactics will save us,instead of hopelessly hoofing the ball to big ben, but i feel the problem is much more deep routed
