2 nil to us

The result is, as ever, entirely dependent on one player; we might as well not bother playing the other 10. Jeez

Of course I would like a home win today but it could be a very hard fought draw. Defoe will score because he always does against us so 1-1 would be no disgrace.

3-1 to the mighty eagles. Benteke, PVA and Wilf on the scoresheet for us. Defoe for them. Stick a pony on it. Monster monster.

In gona go for a 3 1 win, confidence looked back and they looked like they enjoyed it Tuesday. Obviously Defoe will score for them as usual, how many goals has that f***er scored against us?

Don't panic , an easy win. I'm taking my Ronnie today, my kids have never seen anything other than a convincing win, (they haven't been to many league games)

Sadly I just have the awful feeling that Sunderland might get a point or maybe just nick it.This would of course be a gigantic "Body blow" and leave us in tatters.

Sam's bottom line is as we all know by now: a clean sheet. So the worst result I can see is 0-0, if the team can build on the Bournmouth performance, which I think it will. Having a natural left footer like PVA will make a big difference to the natural balance to the team, I hope!

There will be some hope.

We will still have the prospect of the 4 new signings to settle in and make us a much stronger team.
You never know.

While we seem to be overcoming our injury crisis Sunderland are having their own. Sadly for us Kone and Defoe are both fit, but Pickford being out (in theory) is a bonus. On paper we are the better side and should win this, but if Sunderland stay organised and keep Zaha quiet then anything is possible with Defoe up top. The key will be forcing them into playing long balls and ensuring Defoe doesn't get in behind the back three.

I never mind the result if the players put a shift in. As Allardyce said in the press conference, with a strong squad everyone has to play to their best every game, so I'm going to go for 4-1 Palace. A Bentenke Hat-trick and one from Townsend. Defoe with a consolation prize.

I think your'e right. This feature summarises why Palace are arguably in a stronger position now with 4 new signings. I think the team is beginning to buy into Sam's clean sheets/ build from the back philosophy. Hopefully the team will steadily improve in terms of discipline, and fitness, so there are reasonable grounds for optimism

A win is imperative, nothing else is good enough. Sunderland's last away win was the 5th of November!!!

So all in all i reckon 0-1 Sunderland
