I'll be totally honest - I haven't asked this question. All I know is that he is versatile having played as striker, on the wing and as left-back and has real pace and strength.

I know Nicky Forster who took him to Brentford on 'Loan' but that was a while ago in season 2010-11 and I haven't spoken to Nicky about him since he signed for us.

Schlupp is a fullback "by trade", but he is also comfortable on the wing.

Jeffrey said this:-

“I enjoy playing anywhere down the left hand side, left midfielder or left back. I will play anywhere in the team that the manager wants me to play though as long as I am helping the side.”

And if we put Townsend on the Left Wing it could be promising.

We will see.

A fee up to £12m is fair for a top class Championship player in today's market. Lookman, McCormack, Bamford etc.

Difference with those is Schlupp has at least played in the Premier League and done ok.

Look at the prices people have paid over the last few years, it's not outrageous. Heck, we sold Wilf for a potential £15m and that was five years ago.

You're right, of course, but still...paying £12mill for a reserve from a team not that much higher than us does have a hint of irrationality about it.

If someone paid £9mill for Mutch you would think they were mad, right?

Schlupp may be a great signing but I am sure there is better value to be had generally looking abroad and in the lower divisions.

We are starting to have a bit of the QPR about us which is concerning but not as bad as they were of course.

anyone who went to the Bolton game would have seen a very animated and proactive Sam in the technical area, along with Sammy Lee.
He then made a triple substitution which turned the game around a gave us a win.
he was far from being "slumped on the bench".

Against a League One team who we couldn't score against away. Brilliant.

I'm just saying that the other night we had 7000 Palace Fans Supporting the Team.

But on the HOL you have the majority of people moaning all the time.

Anyhow if trying to stay in the Prem is putting up with s*** don't go.

The club has had many dark days in the past.

Kermit you have changed into Mr Super Negative.

A bit like QPR would have been SP paying Jenkinson what he wanted and not what SP wanted.

We have looked in the lower divisions and the players are deemed not goodenough hence out on loan.

6,150 as Bolton fans made up the rest.

The hardcore turned up but were charged an over the top price for doing so. They are the ones that should be being rewarded not penalised.
