We w***ed with a football for 70 mins. While we were possibly marginally better then a very poor West Ham side we were to scared to give it a proper go. To blame AP for yesterday's loss is ludicrous. With a positive attitude we should have gotten a result. Edited by DutchEagleJohan (15 Jan 2017 11.13pm)

We may have lost, but at least we could have cheered when we scored. This dinosaur will take us down without a goal. I'm not sure if AP would have kept us up, but at least we played to score. 2 goals in 5 games since Edited by Tim Gypsy Hill '64 (15 Jan 2017 11.28pm)

Give Sam a chance people for f*** sake. He's got a bit of business to do still in the window and a few changes to make on the pitch. He has to make those changes as an absolute must though. Otherwise we are down.

Ok I understand the whole give him a chance thing but after 4 games we haven't won the goals which were part of the rollercoaster ride have dried up and we now look even more disfunctional on the pitch. As a manager he looks did interested slumped in his seat and all in all we have got worse. Knee jerk appointments never work

Wilf was so happy to play for Pardew that he switched his allegiance from England to Ivory Coast so that he could disappear for several weeks at a crucial time for us. It seems that the more games we lose the more drivel is spouted by the fans

He should have gone in May. It looks like Sam had been lined up for some weeks. I thought we shaded the first half. Then we concede and the usual defensive frailties kick in which has built up over many months not the last four games. As for rollercoaster? Aside from the cup run where we're the ups in the league last year? Whether Sam is the right man only time will tell but he does deserve time, something Pardew was afforded in abundance. Pardew had to go and I still can't fathom people arguing otherwise. I don't even get the loyalty towards Pardew last year after winning a few he couldn't wait to start talking of his ambitions beyond Palace and how he would like to manage a big club, or England, etc. He would happily have joined ship if someone 'better' or bigger had come in for him. By the end of next weekend we will all be saying 'it is', 'we are' and 'we aren't'. I think Charlton did something similar with Curbishley a few years back.

They'd been chatting about it and planning it for weeks.

I think Charlton did something similar with Curbishley a few years back. Charlton and Curbishley were completely different. They got rid of him to try and break into the top 8/6. They didn't go a whole year only winning six games. They pulled a move similar to what Stoke did with Pullis but it backfired.
